The big question is why do people need to drive 3km from one part of downtown to the other when so many options exist. You’re not stuck in traffic, you ARE the traffic!

It took me 3 hours to drive from downtown to Hamilton the other day. It's horrendous.

I left Toronto years ago…too much traffic and so difficult to get around. Torontonians are interesting people. The general thought is, if you have a problem with traffic, you should have more cars, more roads and more traffic. Regardless, I still think it’s a great city. That said, it could stand to benefit from a change in approach.

I remember visiting Tokyo, Japan and their traffic was way worse than Toronto. I’m sure they are in the top 10 or top 5 ranking.

I am from Kitchener & came home to visit in 2019 & 2023. Yes it was a little bad but nothing like in LA where I have moved to. It’a so bad here in LA. I live in a suburb & one day it took me over an hour to get home from PT that is 15 minutes from my house. I could not move anywhere to work around it. That was in the middle of the day in the middle of the week. And every time I go out that traffic is crazy not over an hour like that one day but it’s crazy. It’s getting worse. They say people have made a mass exodus here. I am not seeing it. If there is a natural disaster like a fire or earthquake which we have a lot of. Forget it. You not getting out.

Take the TTC, GO train, bike, or walk if you can! Leave the roads for those who need to drive and can't take transit.

The parks are a mess and she refuses to acknowledge the damage that the lackadesical left wing polices are doing to the city. Who'd want to spend money and time in a city that is full of junkies and mentally ill violent people?

Toronto is an epicenter of canadian capitalism. Pollution, overpriced housing, traffic jams, crime, competition, tribalism, homelessness and debts make Toronto one of the worst cities in the North America.

Living in Mumbai! Toronto traffic is a breeze in comparison!🙄🤭 maybe try cycling! We are so spoiled here. Mumbai has no bike lanes. or sidewalks!

One thing your forgetting is majority of these reports never consider these jumbotron cities to compare to because they are so hard to really monitor and record traffic on. Mumbai is "something else" everyone knows. A city like Toronto, their traffic should only be compared to other cities that acquire a similar all-paved roadzone form in the city, like cities in North America/Europe/South America, Oceania. Asia and Africa consists of many cities where majority of their roads are unpaved, having side stores essentially flowing onto the streets (like Mumbai), people walking on the roads. There are many external factors to traffic being caused on roadways there more than here, and its more expective to expect traffic there. Here a lot just depends on simple things like ongoing construction, accidents, or just stupid drivers clogging up left lanes driving at 75 kmh/50 mph on controlled-access freeways. Toronto and Mumbai should not be compared, compare it with cities only where infrastructure is similar (e.g., LA, New York, Calgary, etc.) I mentioned Europe but rethinking now after writing all this, even parts of Europe as well as parts of South America don't also have the same type of infrastructure to compare directly now that I think of it. Compare North American cities only with each other. Comparing two different cities for their traffic where they have two different infrastructural views is like comparing apples to oranges.

Try cycling 5 months of the year when you will freeze to death and get to stare at vacant bike lanes. Awesome
