@Jazzmaster Jay Good question. i have hands-on experience of Catia, Solidworks, Solidedge. There's no doubt Solidworks is used friendly, it will be lie and stupidity if one don't accept it . I'm not fan of any CAD but i think NX had more functionality [ it may be cause i've used it rigorously ] . You can correct me if I'm wrong
@Paul Bevan That is confusing. "value based token licensed applications" and "Mach Bundles" are your internal jargon and don't mean anything to potential customers. Sounds like there are three ways to get it, but it isn't included in any base packages? Maybe it would make sense if I already used NX, but I don't.
yoy... every new feature in NX makes the user experience worse. why did they f' the constrain system 2-3 years ago? They keep adding stupid features that you never use and never fix the ones that you use the most. And when they do touch the ones you use the most, they make it even more difficult. Also the PLM integration with Teamcenter is also a massive pain. at least teamcenter (rich client) by itself works very well (which is probably because they dont screw with it).
Perhaps, Lets see... what would be the first thing that I would love to do immediately after dropping a dimension down onto my sketch? perhaps allow me to give the dimension a number? I mean after all, I just love defining dimensions, only to let the float around in space. Pro-e solved this years ago, and NX had this solved as well... if you want immediate cancel, press the middle button... but no, easily the most used features to speed up productivity gets removed only to cause my blood to boil every damn time I am forced to use NX. I have emotional trauma to the extent that I will avoid using NX as much as possible and seek to solve things with other solutions before attempting to run this program.
Hey Paul at 21:11 it looks like the optimized part is colliding with the engine gearbox... looks like you might have go back and run thr topology optimization again with new conditions.
This is great, but what we really need now is Tab and slot functionality, it will be very many years before heavy vehicles are 3D printed and an not fabricated from plate steel.

Strategy Consultant here - we normally charge for this kind of recommendations, but this is for free: ditch that counter in favor of something that looks less like a version of your software is from 2 decades ago (especially since you want to espouse modernity and even your Solid Edge software reinforces that convention with its Solid Edge 2022). Perhaps start with 1, 10, 100 - even better: 2022.1 and 2022.2. By the way, great update!
I would have like to have seen that part manufactured, installed, and tested. It looks like garbage. I think you would be fired if you said, "Here's that mount you wanted". And how would you ever prove that it would work beforehand. The calculations are hidden in the software processes. Kind of a black box. King's New Clothes?
Or perhaps fix... "Cannot trim with the limit face. The extruded body may not completely intersect the face." Its a box... I just want the new walls of the box to come flush with the box. f' sakes.
@@hameddesign70 its not intended for hobbyists, students, and especially, "people". You have to be a professional. that is, to truly learn it, you must work on it full time. for years. in a company that has resources to manufacture the designs.
