- Welcome to the auction of this fantastic 1969 Triumph Bonneville T120R, it is selling at NO RESERVE on Bring a Trailer, the winning bidder will go home with this bike! Check out the auction here: bringatrailer.com/listing/196...
Our client purchased the bike in Southern California 27 years ago. The bike had just been restored prior to his acquiring it. It had approximately 11,000 lifetime miles on it at that time and they have put another 4k or so on it since.
Engine and frame numbers match and this is a great riding motorcycle, it starts on the first kick every time. Our client has done much of the work on the bike including replacing the ignition switch, some rubber parts and points over the years. The key is that the bike has been ridden regularly over the years, allowing all the lubricants to get warm and stretch its legs before getting put away on a battery tender.
For someone looking for an English bike in tremendous working condition, we encourage you to check into this one!

Beautiful!! 'Had 2 - '66 & '68. 'Loved them! (btw - the Dunlop K70 on the front is not a good choice. Probably contributes to that head-shake. K81, Conti. RB2, Avon Speedmaster - all better for front tire.)
In 1994, I had an opportunity to buy a fully restored 1968 Bonneville for $1,800. I turned it down. I've been riding Harleys. I was afraid if when riding the Boone that I would forget which was the shifter and which was the brake and wind up killing myself.
Sweet! Looks like the one Warren Beatty had in Shampoo.
I’ll have to go rewatch that! 🏁
Why put these ridiculous handle bars on this great bike?
They are Western Pattern bars and were probably factory fitted. They are really comfortable bars, even if you don't like the look of them.

No way these were "factory fitted".
And those mirrors - oh dear! 50-points alone off at any Concours Judging!
And don't get me started on the Yank side reflectors and horn!
The old Meridan guys are rolling in his graves at the "Yankerization" of their jewel!
Oh dear!
