Reel mower. It's a reel mower. Back in the 90s my grandmother had me fix up one of these so she could do her own trimming. She didn't even get off the concrete in the shed before deciding it was a bad idea

This is an antique. You can buy new ones but they push hard. There's a reason everyone stopped using them when the gyro mowers came out.

they're costly up front, but once you factor in annual fuel, oil, filters, belts, blade or trimmer line, protective equipment, broken windows, electricity bill(for electric machines) and preparation time, you'll find that these are way more practical given you have a small enough lawn and not a field

How to resharp the blades??
Clean the mower with a brush and damp cloth to remove the old grass and soil .I jammed the blades with a thick stick and sharpened the blades using an electric sander. I also oiled the screw's and nuts. It worked beautifully for me. 😊
