      you don't need much! most recipes say add a "splash". I'd say it really depends on how much water you use, but generally around 2 tbsp - 1/4 cup for the Instantpot would be just fine! ... And thank you for asking, I realized just now that that part got cut out!

      Marrow gets thick like that, to me and other hungarians it is a delicacy. We spread on toasted bread, salt pepper, slices of onion😀
      Dogs will love it too! You can take out all marrow in bowel and mash up then add it back to broth.

    My hubby and I fed the feral and stray cats all winter. We made little warm beds for them too! We were lucky, had an unexpected birth in our backyard last March 2020. We are now proud grandparents of three beautiful kitties. They are one year old now and were able to pick one of them up and brush his hair too! We did have them, neutered and spayed and they still live outside, they really love Fancy Feast Broth. However, it is just too expensive to buy for all of them, so I am going to start making Homemade Broth and I do appreciate your TH-cam. Thank you for your help. "We Care for Animals" helped us with the neutering .

    Thanks! Switched my dog off store bought treats. Tried to get her to eat a mini carrot once or twice a day but she was not having it. So I made your recipe for bone broth and freeze them in the small ice cube tray’s and then put them into those new silicone freezer bags for storage. Every morning I take a mini broth cube and two mini carrots and leave in a cup in the refrigerator to mix and blend flavors. By mid afternoon they are ready. She loves the taste and always wants more. But I try and limit her to two treats a day. Thanks again!

    We have a beautiful German Shepherd, Akelah, who is going on 9 years old and starting to have serious joint issues. We also have a young tuxedo cat, Gucci, who I'd like to get to a good start with a healthy diet. I'm making my own dog food for Akelah and I'd like to make my own bone broth. I'm a new Instant Pot owner and I appreciate any help I can get on how to use it for these projects.

      I'm sorry to hear that, but glad they have a good mom!
      Planet Paws has some good recipes that you can rotate through, but for cancer, you may want to go to KetoPet .. or work with a nutritionist to create meal plans for you

    I have a senior dog that I may have to put down soon due to his difficulty walking. He staggers, falls, and his back legs slide when he is still... My brother suggested trying bone broth or bone meal on his food. I started researching, and I want to try this. Thanks for the info. How much ACV do I use?

    • @ThePetParentingReset
      @ThePetParentingReset  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm so sorry to hear that. You can use about 1/2 - 1 cup, depending on how much water you are using. You don't need much!

    Have started making beef
    bone broth for my dog
    for his gut health.
    Can I leave the broth in my
    fridge for 5 days or is
    that too long ?

    I would like to feed my cat the healthiest diet that I can provide. I'm looking into giving her raw freeze dried cat food. It calls for rehydrating it in water. What is your thoughts about rehydrating it in bone broth instead of water?

    • @ThePetParentingReset
      @ThePetParentingReset  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Awesome, Kimberly! My concern with using the bone broth to rehydrate a balanced diet, is that the diet will no longer be balanced. Bone broth would be a great treat!

      My concern would be taking water out of your cats diet, they are lazy and often don’t like drinking much water and are often dehydrated. Adding water is so great if they call for it, like a patte 😁

    My kitty has to get more fluids in his diet. So thought this might be more tasty / incentive for him to drink.

    • @ThePetParentingReset
      @ThePetParentingReset  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      YES! Also, switching to a moisture rich diet would be good too. It can be a challenge for some cats to switch to fully raw, but give it a try!

    How much bones and feet did you use? How big is your instant pot?

    • @ThePetParentingReset
      @ThePetParentingReset  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      that is a good question! LOL ... I'll ask my husband how big the Instantpot is. He is the kitchen guru, I just take over for filming occasionally LOL
      It doesn't matter so much how many bones you use. The more bones you use, the more broth you will end up with, but how ever many you use, make sure the liquid covers them and you're good to go!

    I just made this last night, but the broth came out clear and didn’t gel. I might’ve used too much water for only 3 beef marrow bones? It is still okay to feed to my cat and dog?

    • @ThePetParentingReset
      @ThePetParentingReset  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      yes, it's still ok to feed, but it won't have the same nutritional benefits. It's always ok to try again!

    My cats are young but won't eat wet food and vet is concerned they aren't drinking enough water, so hoping bone broth will entice them to drink.

    Why would you take the fat off? Is that an American thing? Fat is good for you.

    • @heatherfrench3898
      @heatherfrench3898 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Fat can cause problems for pets. Their systems are different and smaller than ours, so what works for us does not always work for them.

    • @justkidding7523
      @justkidding7523 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Fat is good for pets too as long it’s not cooked fat, which in this case it is. It poses a risk of developing pancreatitis for pets. Raw fat is wonderful for pets on a low carb diet.

    I needed more directions! You mentioned ACV but never said how much to use. Plus I had to listen to a lot of blah blah blah at the beginning and what I really wanted was the recipe. This video just didn’t cut it for me.
