In case anyone is wondering, this song is about one of grimm's fairytales. It's about to sisters called Schneeweißchen and Rosenrot who meet a bear that is actually a prince that was cursed by a dwarf.

I took German in high school myself and for what little I can remember, it’s still worth the learn. There can be uses for it since I’m in an area where they speak mostly Spanish, the insults that get hurled at you tend to be better countered in another language that isn’t commonly used

I loved fairytales growing up, and Snow-White (no, not _that_ Snow-White) and Rose-Red was a favorite. An evil dwarf (no, not one of _those_ dwarves)? A bear that would romp with you in the woods and at the dwarf’s death turned into a prince? Marrying that prince? What’s not to love? The prince in the song may not have been a bear, and Snow-White and Rose-Red may have been more akin to fairy women stealing away the man for 100 years, but the fairytale atmosphere was thick and I loved it. Great song of the supernatural and a lovely video.

It's a song about a german fairytale "Schneeweißchen und Rosenrot", which is about to sister with a red and a white rosebush in their mothers garden, who live near a forest. They let a bear stay with them all of winter and after he leaves in spring, they encounter a dwarf in the forest. They save the dwarf three times, but he is ungrateful and accuses them of damaging his clothes and beard. When they save him a fourth time, by cutting his beard, which got caught by an eagle, he tries to enchant or kill them. But the bear returns, kills the dwarf and transforms into a prince. The dwarf had stolen all his treasures and enchated him into a bear. Rosenrot marries the prince and Schneeweißchen his brother and they live happily ever after.
