I believe there is a term for these type of games: Kaizo Games. Except those have what we call "infinite lives", "checkpoints", and "fun, functioning mechanics" so someone can be reasonably expected to play them. This is so far away from that, it's not even funny.

There's ANOTHER Miner game called Hoversurf in the Mess. This one follows the footsteps second stage of Miner Ultra Adventures in that it is a giant slide. Only this time is EVERY. SINGLE. LEVEL. with the ever present fake difficulty in said levels.

Somebody attempted bullet time in a side-scrolling shooter? I'm sure that's been done before, but it does sound intriguing, so I guess props to the dev for thinking of something somewhat out the box, even if the execution was less than stellar.

I straight up hate when devs use "My game is totally uber hard!" as a selling point, because most of the time it just boils down to the games being infuriating and artificially padded by killing you a 100+ times per screen. Yeah... hollow ego boasting that no one else wil care about is not much of a motivation and eventually beating that one totally uber hard level never feels satisfying to begin with nor makes it worth potential hours of frustration.
Could be worse: could be Getting Over It With Bennett Foddy where the entire time a condescending British twit lectures you about how hard games are the meaning of life, and the top secret grand reward for beating it is a chat room for people who've beaten it, because you're totally such an elite high class breed!
