A buried cache can sometimes drop an item that breaks down into emeril, and it's not even that rare. Could be worth scanning and digging up a few early on, and you can skip straight to the indium drive. If you do not obtain enough, you can expand emeril in the advanced backpack refiner by combining it with chromatic metal.
The robot animals was the hardest but I just marked it as my active mission and followed the trails it took a few jumps but took me right to a system with robots. They are so fast on land, I found the giant sphere building size robots.
I'm trying to navigate to Rendezvous 4 but it keeps on glitching out. It takes me to one system, then directs me back to the previous system. Any suggestions?
I found a solution of any other weary traveler encounters this problem. I had to teleport to the original system that showed me the full expedition route; I then had to set a waypoint for the next hop. Warp to that system, then teleport back to the original system that showed the route, and follow it until you can set your next waypoint. Teleport back to the previous system then warp to your waypoint. Rinse and repeat until you get to the rendezvous or when it stops bugging out.

I got lucky and found robotic animals in an abandoned red star system, including the walking archives
