Randomly bought this game to play in psvr. I got hooked immediately, felt like space Skyrim…then the world opened up with all the other players at the same time I damaged my ship and need to figure out how to get money and actually play the game. Hoping your video helps, best vr experience so far.
I haven't played in a few years but I'm starting up a new save today and using this video as a guide since it's the most recent one i could find. Thank you!
thanks man. i just got into nms last week, and... its good. I just wish some of the more important mechanics were fleshed out like better flight or crafting. I know they dumbed down the flight simulation for console players, but did they also have to nerf the crafting for pc players too? the fact that i only have 2 rows of items to pick from when using the crafting station is ridiculous. i bought this game at $30 so yeah, i got my moneys worth . but if you paid full price when it first came out, then idk. the lack of polish or and clunky game designs (not talking about graphics) are always jarring to me whenever i play this game. like the fact that i always stutter once when leaving into orbit, or the fact that the UI is clearly made for consoles in mind and no PC afterthought was put into it, or how cartoony your ship can be, landing on tall fauna instead of the ground, not being able to land on flat ground, running out of thrust really fast... like... you'd think after all this time, those things would be polished a bit since those are common complaints about the game - but these are still the exact issues that plague the game from the start...
I just started playing about two weeks ago and I haven't been hooked on a game like this in a long time. I just got the free freighter and was a little lost. I saw you had a video on freighters that is a year old, is it still good or is it outdated from the new patches? Another thing, you say the expeditions can be done as a solo? I saw some of them in the anomaly and it seemed to me they were like raids in MMO's. I really enjoyed this video. I subbed and will watch some more. I knew some things but learned a lot. I'm feeling dumb for trashing lots of the fungus that apparently can be turned to nanites, lol. Oh well, it's an excuse to play more! Thanks for the guide!
The freighter video still has some good info but you might want to get the Dreadnaught capital ship. It's really cool and you can get it for free. I have a video on how to get one. Everything in this game can be done solo
@@Newftorious Yeah, I watched the freighter video right after I watched this. I wish I had seen this a day ago, lol. That's good to know everything can be done solo. I don't know anyone IRL that plays this game, but I might try some of the social stuff out and see if I can find some folks. Thanks for the reply!
Yo um ive just finished the first base building quest in the tutorial and I've found a portal what now. I've heard those can be very strong to get to planets with specific stuff on them to easily get all the stuff in the game. I literally bought this game 4 hours ago. I'll dissect this video though so I'll see if it mentions anything.
You need to get the glyphs. I recommend once you are comfortable with the basics that you check out the new expedition. You'll get a lot of good rewards plus all glyphs and a consumable that will locate portals for you.

Dude, so calm and informative.. Thank you for this video, it helped me out a lot :)
That's awesome glad to hear it!
You can also use your terrain tool to mine a little tunnel to wait out a storm, or call your ship to you and wait inside till the storm passes.
Just bought the game, this video helped a lot. Thanks a bunch!
That's awesome. You're very welcome
I just bought it too, there's a LOT to get your head around!
@@Newftorious Can I have a question, when I farm sentinel ships, will its class be always the same like with the design?
@@SunStarcz You will find different classes in the one system if that's what you mean
Nice guide man, this much editing for a video thing long is no small feat. Appreciate your work!

just bought the game, could you make guide for the expedition as new players? its so overwhelming as new player. dang
My game was nothing at all like this lol
Ok, what if my system doesn't have a storm planet. Then what? The chain breaks and your next steps simply don't happen. The end.
