On "My Car Story" we're in the Suburbs of Phoenix, AZ on 1-22-24.
We're looking at a 1913 Bugatti Type 22 Torpedo in Blue Paint. The car comes with 1500 CC inline 4-cylinder engine and a 4 speed manual transmission.
The car's Owner is Alan Travis. Alan’s had this car since 2015. Alan shares after he had the chance to drive an early Bugatti he always hoped he could get one. He actually purchased the headlights before owning the car. Well, perseverance paid off, and he “met the criteria” of what the past Owner wanted in his next Caretaker, and here is the car. There were only 5-8 cars built and this car is # 3.
ENJOY!

Very cool!!!!
:-)
Love how you mix in the early vehicles into your channel. No one offers such a wide variety of vehicle coverage like you do, Lou! Beautiful example today and awesome color. Keep up the great work!
Hi ultraviolet tp, Happy to read you're enjoying the variety with me :-) Glad to read "Beautiful example today and awesome color.", Lou
Another amazing beauty! Just imagine they made these works of art without a computer. Even the gas cap is beautiful. The more of these I see the more I hate the twenty-first century. Those were the days. Alan is certainly a wonderful caretaker of these cars. Great video Lou.
Hi HRC, Happy to read "Another amazing beauty!" :-) My pleasure sharing this car with you, Lou
That is hilarious how he came across the lamps first. Has to be best story of buying such a great car
:-)
This is fascinating, an authentic 1913 Bugatti Type 22 "Torpedo", in blue, running magnificently after 110 years! This time I am not going to write about the extraordinary details that you showed us, since there are too many and the video lasted 40 minutes; but it was worth every second invested! It's always fun to see Mr. Travis share his great knowledge, and pleasant sense of humor, about these impressive machines! Finally, about the final route I will only say Wow! Up to this point they both transmitted their emotion to me, haha. Best regards, Lou!
Hi Jaime, Happy to read there was quality in every minute. My pleasure sharing with you the many details of this car. Lou
What an astounding vehicle and it is of great historical significance. Ettore Bugatti was an amazing individual. His father, Carlo Bugatti, was a designer of Art Nouveau furnishings and his grandfather, Giovanni Luigi Bugatti, was an interior architect. The tradition of innovative design in the family carried through to the beginnings of the automotive age.
Hi Charles, High praise. Thank you for viewing and sharing your knowledge, Lou
Lou, may I be so presumptuous as to say I may speak for all of your viewers as to how fortunate we are to be privileged to this collection of cars and information thereof.
Thank you and Allen for sharing this series. Fantastic.
I can't even imagine what that Bugatti alone is worth, never mind the rest of the collection. The best part, though, is the mad dashes between speed bumps - hilarious! Those cars were tough in the day, and he respects that by running them!
One other thing, try as I may, I could not identify the #15 Green racer in the garage...🤔 what is it? Or, is that perhaps the next feature...
Audie, High praise. Happy to share this collection, and I agree. It's a privilege to ride on Alan's cars. My pleasure sharing with you, and stay tuned, # 15 is coming up next Sunday, Lou
That guy really takes care of his cars. That Bugatti. Is stunning. 39:13

Interesting Race car from the early 1900’s. It’s great to see the technology of the time. Like the headers and cooling system.

Re: pressurizing the fuel tank. 1/2 a bar is 7.25 PSI not 1/2 a PSI. One bar is almost equal to atmospheric pressure. Bar is 14.5 PSI.

Thank you, from where I sit in the Driver’s seat I did not see the scale was marked in Grammes. I know I need at least 50 shown on the scale to have enough air pressure to run the engine.
I know it is very low air pressure because I only need 3 or 4 pumps of the small fuel Air pump. I stand corrected, thanks, Alan Travis 0:07
One of the battery connector appear to be loose… not good. Please advise the owner.
Thank you for sharing what you notice. I'll let him know.

cigarettes or should I say cigars.
:-)
Sorry Lou, the way this guy pronounced Bugatti was strange.
Hi popeye.oliveoil, Might seem strange the way he says Bugatti, however with Alan's level of excellence in his details, I'd bet he's saying it correctly. Lou
