He also improved Sevilla's position in the league. So he managed to juggle both those competitions at once. Then he turned PSG into their best ever team. After that obviously Arsenal where he had a great first season. Still not done, because after that he won the Europa League once again... with Villarreal this time. Season after he had them in the Semi's of the ucl, that's further than Arsenal have come in the last 15 years. And lastly, he transformed Aston Villa from a relegation side into a serious champions league team.

Emery has a profile for a club where he can take a team struggling and put them in a good position when he leaves. However he’s never really broken the door when it’s come to major honours outside of the Europa league which isn’t on the same level as the domestic leagues or the champions league.
The emery overhype is a dead giveaway of someone not watching football, there’s a reason he’s had such a long career and is only at Villa, it’s his level. The two big jobs he’s had in Arsenal and PSG he’s been sacked after a couple years. I don’t think her point about it being an insult to put Arteta and emery close together is fair. Emery is primarily a cup manager but doesn’t tend to compete at the top, whereas Arteta is competitive at the top but isn’t in cup competitions. I agree emery is above Arteta at this moment but I think “insulting” is hyperbolic. Arteta is literally competing with pep whereas emery is competing with Eddie Howe and Enzo maresca
