Hi Keith!! Awesome update as always!! Dad suffers a lot with heat here in the south of Portugal (avg 35°C outside), he's installing air conditioning in the garage to work on the Mini "After Eight"! Great job with the Raptor, looks proper factory finish 👌 We thoroughly enjoy your videos!
If only Gravitex existed when Austin Rover built these little rust buckets 😊 I think they sprayed the underneath when they were cleaning out their spray guns
Won't be hot in my workshop anymore, air con is on its way to me as we speak!! As for the winter, I've a diesel heater , the type used in camper vans, so no matter the temperature outside I'm ok Stan.
If you grab a cheapo hvlp spraygun, drill the end-cap out to 2mm (use a boggo drill bit) and spray the Raptor with that instead of a schutz-gun, you get a tres posher finish that's a lot easier to apply in terms of getting nice coverage/evenness blah blah. You will then bin off using a schutz-gun for it ever again. If needs be, thin the mix with a little, erm, thinners in order to get it going through the gun nicely. Works great.
That's just what the doctor ordered 😊 raptor British Racing Green 👌. Looking at yours I'm definitely getting some for the whole underneath. I bet it looks better in person.
Yesterday it was 9 deg C in the shed, winter in South Australia, a couple of summers ago it hit 52degC, didn't spend anytime working in the shed that week. You do acclimatise so 9 deg C feels very cold. Shed is metal frame and thin iron cladding, no insulation so heating is difficult.
Pal! Sorry to of missed you at Beaulieu but after around 4 hours of machine polishing and getting ready I came down with covid😂😂. That raptor stone chip looks great 👍
Down here in Australia it gets hot in the shed at 38-40c. I used tintable raptor on my mini I mixed the colour in myself you only put 100ml of colour in the container and the hardener and there was enough room in the bottle but saying that I didn't cover very well you could see through it in the end when I did the underside I gave the car a coat of base coat over the epoxy primer then used the raptor as this didn't show the primer through and I put a little bit more colour in the raptor the car is a metallic gold and you can't see the flake in the raptor either
Thank you so much for the shout out. Was thinking we was getting a full monte for a second there 😂😂

Air con for the workshop, WTF!? C'mon, you are winding me up?
Super cool idea on promoting smaller channels. I would love more subs! Great video, as always

Looks great mate. I mixed mine in mixing cups then added it back in the bottles for spraying. I do agree it should have bigger bottles lol.
I like the finish it has come out great! Defo on the shopping list…. If I ever finish the metalwork 😊

Thanks very much Dave, much appreciated.
Can you show how you seem seal the panel external joins. Ie: under the headlamps and front guard to scuttle.
Looks a very nice finish 👍
