It wasn't obvious in the anime, but Silky was even sleeping with people to earn money for her daughter and when she was dancing on the rooftop, that's when she jumped... And since they met in the afterlife, her daughter also died. 😢
@@UltimateGamerCCyah, it's really depressed when it happened irl, especially in your country. Mine has hundreds of cases that illegally trafficking to Neighbor countries, and only a single digit amount of them managed to made it back home (as a fully grown adults)
What's even sadder is that at the end instead of the daughter and the mother looking at the stars in the manga we see their ghosts walking towards the void together. This implies that whatever those loan sharks did with her daughter, it killed her. There isn't even the comfort that the child might be alive somewhere, she died soon after being kidnapped.
I don't think Acro Silky ended up vanishing into the void. Acro Silky was bound to the living world because of "unfinished business", and that's wanting to see her daughter again, and have her call her "mommy". She mistook Aira for her daughter, but at the very end, Aira did say to her "I love you, mommy". It's implied that because of that, Acro Silky passed on and into heaven, instead of vanishing.
What a rollercoaster, this was one of the few mangas that made me cry and break my heart. You know a story is well written when you can laugh at something as simple as a guy losing his balls and then cry for a ghost with a tragic past carried only with visual images. Yukinobu Tatsu has a great talent for drawing something like this, I feel happy to follow Dandadan from its beginnings, and seeing that Science Saru gives it the value that the manga deserves is appreciated. I'm glad you react to this anime!
One word: owwww 😢 the background story using just visuals and music...🧑🍳😘 The anime's a bit ambiguous, but the mother jumps off a rooftop. The manga shows a lot more. Chapter 16. The little girl holding out her hand to the stars reminds me of Gojo doing the same in Hidden Inventory's opening...
you need to know the names for the past few chapters. it was "'acrobatic silky' is kinda long isn't it ?" "let's just call her 'acro silky'" and "acro silky" one after another
Why the hell would you watch anime in class!? Not only do something you're not allowed to do but do something special in that setting. Will never comprehend you people. orz
this part in the manga destroyed everyone when it came out years ago, and the anime only made it worse T_T I cried again boooo But also thank you lol. As for the demon slayer backstory comparison - JUST YOU WAIT lol it competes, trust me xD
I kinda disappointed a little bit about how the mother dies because in the manga, she jumped from probably 10 floor building while doing ballerina. In the anime, the studio doesn't animate that. Well I guess that scene is too graphic and too realistic (of Japanese people taking their lives by jumping from heights).
Damn this show is great, I'm wondering if there will be any "okay" episodes. But this is probably my least liked episode so far, but only because it was extremely sad and the sad part ran a tiny bit too long in the sense that I'd rather want other stuff. Also I really wanted a frame or two more of Okarun's all out attack. But wow, one of the best animated scenes I've ever seen at the start. I was also thinking about her friends, how they are will affect what I think of Ayase/the show. Hard to rewatch reactions just like episode 5. orz
It's a directorial masterclass. You can't expect a show to just be sex jokes all the time. "Sad part ran a bit too long" like what typa criticism is that though.
@@mulanomula You're not making sense and also not what I said, you're lying when you say "most obnoxious and downright stupid criticism", can't take you serious then.
@@Nekotaku_TV Brother, what you said doesn't make sense. How do you criticise an episode for having the emotional centre being too long. It's the entire point of the episode. Episode had no business being this sad. I came here for absurd hijinks not to get teary eyed!!
10/10 episode, wasn't expecting them to go this hard.
The onion cutting ghost made a cameo this episode right??
Of course 😅😅😢
I don't think it was onions because I was fully sobbing my dude lol
I was sitting all by myself while watching this so its gotta be somes ort of onion ghost
This episode was a fucking masterpiece.

can only imagine what was done to her before she was killed. the kid, that is.

I just hoped they would give us a glimpse of them both getting together in the afterlife or something 😣

@Mousse9 I know, I should have worded that better. Then they were walking to the afterlife or whatever you wanna call it
@ I read the manga, that didn’t hit as hard as this. This much more painful. 😥
@@maximus1172 Well like I said that's the case in the manga. A shame they didn't show it here

The direction on this episode was superb,
Her last dance on the water was actually a roof top and she jumped off. doing you know what….
nobody survived this episode..no shame on that..we cried too..🤝
Fantastic reaction! I full on bawled this episode.
This episode was so tragic and beautiful !
Just as the voice says, the attack that is unleashed instantly is a headbutt.
Shout out to all the single parents out there.
I cannot imagine what happened to her daughter so that she met her in the after life bet she also suffer a lot before gone😢😢😢😢
