So unfortunately I only noticed after I uploaded this video that the final mask around the lemon slice somehow got messed up on the export. I have no clue how this happened but I apologize for that hiccup. Super frustrating, but if you want to see what it's SUPPOSED to look like, feel free to head over to my instagram. UGH 🤦♂️
Not using CGI is what makes your technique so accessible to those of us wanting to give stuff a try without a blockbuster budget. Congrats on the 2M, smashing it.
I think what he is saying is: Creativity > Spending huge $$$ A great message that any creator who is trying to run a business should totally understand.
Awesome video! As a fisherman though I have to say it's fishing line or monofilament. Fishing wire is a thing, but it's actually made of wire and not clear enough to use.
respect for that. some people simply love the process like playing on real instruments instead of using software. The same situation with video production
I literally prefer being creative in life and being able to come up with my ways to make things happen. Not always you can only rely on ready solutions... I'm at the very beginning of my journey with video making and your channel is eye opening. I've got a little juice making business too so commercials you create align nicely with me needs. Absolutely grateful for what you do and that you share it with us. Usually I feel like a kid after new magic trick being shown to. Thanks a million Daniel ✌️✌️
Awesome video! The one thing that I noticed immediately was that the mask tracking on the lemon slice was off, but it's perfectly fine for demonstrative purposes. Always learning new things from your videos like the bubbles, it really added a lot
Yeah, so frustrated by that... something happened when I exported and I only noticed it after the video went live that the mask is somehow completely off. Oh well 🤷♂️
@@danielschiffer Honestly still looks good but I totally get how it's frustrating. Happens to me whenever I mask something and then I change the keyframe velocity a tiny bit, forgetting that will completely mess up the mask.
@@collinkavaner1612 it’s so strange because i have another draft of this entire tutorial uploaded on unlisted which i always do to double check that everything looks good… and while that version looks perfect, somehow on this export it got totally botched. its so frustrating because you spend hours putting something together only to f it all up in the final 10 seconds of the vid 😭
@@danielschiffer That is so weird that the second export got botched... I feel the pain of working so hard and then having the video get f'd up when it feels like it was perfect 😭 But I think anyone who watches your videos knows you kill it every time no matter what 😎
I got question for you big bro ☺️ 1) Where do you store your video data ? 2) When clients give you video files, you delete the files after editing or keep it in case you wanna use in future? 3) I'm loving your content.
Great real world technique demonstration shows two things: how much skilled you are in video production and ...how much practical effects could possibly be dangerous (bandaid) ...expecially if you have to cut a lemon! :-)
At 6:52 you mention "...also making sure that the skewer is no longer visible". This is a sticking point for me as I'm trying to edit out a fishing line. How did you do that part?
Maybe I'm not understanding your verbiage. I have the second "layer" created on top, similar to you here. I created keyframes and followed my subject out of the frame. Then what is done to actually mask it out? I can't find help anywhere on the next step and you seem to brush over it ,probably because it's first nature to you :) . Thanks!

I feel the pain!! Put all that work into a edit only for a glitch to happen when it is the one posted. Instagram version for the win!
I wonder how many subs I can get from this comment
I dont see it. What is it haha
I actually notice that, I was thinking that you might over use a gaussian blur effect. I don’t know, but the final video still looks dope.
Learn a lot. Thx Daniel

He used cheap cgi software
Isn't masking and compositing (The fizz) CGI tho?
It’s always fascinating to learn things which will actually save money. Thank you.
