While I'm so sorry that Barney didn't get fixed, the smiles & laughter that you two brought me were wonderful. When the video ended, I was sad it was so short. I used to use a porta power ram between frame and rim to push the wheels off. That way I didn’t have to worry about things falling off the blocks.
I guess you can always loosen the lugs and drive around in circles to break the rims loose. 😂

Hot tip: For greasy oily gloves find some fine dry dust and make like you're washing your hands in it, gloves on of course, the fine dust particles stick to and removes the grease, your gloves won't be clean but they won't be greasy either.

25 years ago, we were rebuilding a 1200 cfm screw type air end using all factory stock bearings. Got it all shimmed up properly and after tightening the last bolt, the thing was seized. Had it apart 3 more times using different factory bearings with the same results. Finally discovered that even though the Timken thrust bearing had the correct part number, there was a suffix number that indicated the end play tolerance. We had never seen it before nor had the factory. When we got bearings with the correct end play all worked well.
Sometimes things don't go as planned, however, we keep getting smarter.
Mike, put your ear protection on when you are using the impact wrench. At 80 years old, I now wear cochlear implants because I did not heed my warning.
    Great video, thanks.

Off the wall thought... I was rebuilding a Bench Top Planer last year... bearings, seals... and race...I put the shaft in the freezer... And yes... I know that wasn't an option for y'all... but I put the seals and bearing in the microwave... Now... before ya freak and say ya can't put metal in the microwave...mmmm yes ya can... I wrapped it in damp paper towels... popped it in the microwave, then when I put them together... they slid right on... all it takes is a couple thousandths of an in... and by freezing one, and heating the other... it worked perfect... the heating actually came from the steam created by the wet paper towels...
Been watching you for years... Keep doing what you're doing!!! LOve it!!!
