You absolute madman! Look closely at your right wings. After you hit that debris from the last plane you shot down it damaged your bracing wires and the landing severed all the bracing wires to your wings and sheared the struts! It's a miracle you made it back to the ground in one piece! Nice flying!
My favourite plane in the classic Avalon Hill Richthofens war and TSRs Dawn Patrol games.The Pfalz D-III is sluggish but a tough plane i used alot as well.
Overall it is a very versatile aircraft. You want to stick to boom and zoom tactics though. Be careful not to dive too quickly however. The wings are fragile.

With il-2 GB primarily being a ww2 sim , *MY QUESTION: How do u find this compares to ROF (flight model and damage model wise)?* I think a lot of people that like ww1 planes also will prob have ROF. :-) (AS FC is still early access and the Il-2 GB series in general is in continuous development obviously this is "as of now" in current state kind of thing)
It is VERY similar to Rof. As far as I know very minor changes have been made to the Flight models. The damage model has all of the good stuff that GB brings to the table however. I feel the best way to describe this expansion is ROF remastered. It's fun and I do hope they continue to work on Flying Circus. As you said Great Battles is in continuous development so it will constantly improve.
I read, that Austrian manufacturer Oeffag, who build Albatros in license for Austria-Hungary air force solve the problems with strenght of lower wing, but this solution never arrive to germans, who has this problem until end of the war
This is correct. I researched the DV extensively a few years ago. The Austrian manufactred Albatrosses did not have this problem. After the problems were identified with the D3 the Austrians stiffed up the lower wing structure and connection and these changes continued into the production of the DVa. One thing this video did not mention was the DVa was made almost obsolete by the Fokker D7 which was by far a more forgiving plane and had a better engine and lighter weight. It could boom and zoom better than the spads and out turn an SE5A. It was the one aircraft whose production was prohibited in the Treaty of Versailles.

Though the gunner's job might be as terrible as Wolfpack said, I would rather have gotten hit in the brain pan, like the last gunner, than worry all the way down to the ground, as did the pilot.
The Albatros D.Va did NOT stay in production until the end of the war. Production was phased out in early-mid 1918, at which point the Albatros Werke started producing Fokker D.VIIs. Albatros D.III, D.V, and D.Vas served until the end of the war.

Yeah that's why I decided to land there instead of heading back to the airfield hahaha. Pretty crazy that I survived!

The moved the radiator because the pilot was getting scalded by boiling water when it was holed.
I also liked DV the most in RoF - looking forward to try it out in FC!
