Thanks to our friends at Laney Amplification, we have a fantastic free to enter prize giveaway featuring four incredible amplifiers, and two lucky winners will get to have one of their very own. Which Laney amp is the right one for you? Enter to win and the choice is yours.
    Ironheart IRT30-112
Forged deep in the Black Country, the Ironheart series continues the legacy begun decades before with amps such as the Laney KLIPP and AOR. Packed full of features, amazing tone and a thoroughly modern and aggressive look, the Ironheart models are extremely versatile modern amplifiers
    Lionheart L20T-112
A uniquely responsive boutique British Single-Ended Class A tube tone. It reacts to your touch and from the moment you strike a note you’re connected. Let the music flow through you - from your fingers to the guitar, through the amplifier to the beating heart of the speaker. You are one. You are Lionheart.
    GH30R-112
A product of Laney’s long-term study of how guitar players interact with tube amps. “Tube tone” is composed with what we have come to describe as “RED” and “BLACK” tone elements: RED is tube preamp distortion, in which ECC83 tubes add drive.BLACK is output tube distortion which increases as the power tubes are driven harder. GHR allows the player to balance RED and BLACK elements to seek the sweet spot in each player’s setup.
    CUB12
An all-tube guitar combo that delivers 15 watts of pure tube tone from a pair of EL84 power tubes into its 12" custom-designed HH speaker. Small is beautiful: The CUB series delivers pure, vintage tube tone in small format, lower wattage units providing classic vintage sounds without complicated control layouts or excessive volume levels.
How do you win? It's easy! All you have to do is click to enter and complete the actions for additional entries. The more entries you have, the better your chance of winning, so come back daily and remember to share on your social media accounts.
Two lucky winners will be chosen at random once the competition closes and receive their chosen prize of either an Ironheart IRT30-112, a Lionheart L20T-112, a GH30R-112, or a CUB12.
    Good Luck!

Great playing, guys. Always a pleasure to see Nick, he's got such a unique presence. Tonally i prefer the GH30R, but as you point out, Ironheart is cool for higher gain stuff. Always wonder why Laney is not getting more attention, considering the great stuff they make and the brand's heritage...

I own an Ironheart IRT30-112 and I'm a little bit disappointed about the Boost feature. It's more like a clean booster than an overdrive.

Hmm...they both sound good! I still don't know which one I would rather have. Thanks for the side by side comparison!

I think after that jam you guys have to be best friends and band mates! All kidding aside I have a Laney IRT120 and I'd be super into adding a ghr

Great review! One thing Laney should fix is the Stand-by buttons on their amps. Is it just me, or is it annoying when you turn the stand-by off, the light flickers on? Light on = activated. Light off = not activated. Otherwise, love Laney's!

Explain the Output control of the GHR vs the Variable Watts control of the IRT?

    • @Robstafarian
      @Robstafarian 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

The GHR's Master Output control appears to be a post-phase-inverter master volume control, as a contrast to the pre-phase-inverter (i.e. conventional) master volume control presented by its Volume knob. The IRT's Watts control also appears to be a post-phase-inverter master volume control.

i think the bridge is too close to the fretboard, hence the excess amount of wood behind it is kinda weird
