Hello Georgie, l am writing to you from Melbourne/Australia. l love your videos, l am a retired florist, l was a florist for over 30 years, Since l had two open heart surgeries whilst in hospital l had the idea of reforming our front garden.. We removed the lawns and we are putting the garden to work, as a cut flower garden all thanks to you, not to sell flowers but flowers for the house. Flowers are very dear to buy, and why buy when we can grow them.l have added some plants l did not know at all . We planted over 20 rose bushes and two Brachyglottis, two Physocarpus, a gold and a diabolo, lonicera fragantissima and many other things l have learned from you, even to the Spanish flag, scented gladioli, l really did have to tell you, after all it was your influence Gosh you work so hard, florists have a hard job, always cold and always wet. Thanks a million again, now l can watch my garden flourish in the Spring. Melbourne is a cold place in Winter. Keep up the good work, Fondest regards, from down under. Mario
The best of your videos are the floristry ones. This is not to say I don't watch all your videos religiously. It's just that you grow the most amazing flowers and your creativity is so very special. Somerset should pay you for promoting the area so regularly.
Oh no, I had to turn off the sound re the fire alarm beeps. My dog goes into alarm mode too! I ❤ the flowers and the glass and the venue. Thank you for sharing your flower farm!
I love this clip , as you call it! The flowers were extraordinarily, the posies and the mantelpieces were delightful and charming. You get a special award from me!
I was explaining to my husband, this morning, of your use of trees and shrubs. Oop, I ended up breaking a fresh branch on our miniature oak tree. It's now tied into a posy vase (with cotton twine around the branch then down to the base of the vase) 😂
My ranunculus were a total failure this year so I will have to go back to the drawing board if I decide to grow them next year. Yours are absolutely a joy to behold. Gardens are curious places. While the ranunculus failed, a calla lily unexpectedly bloomed from a grocery store plant I bought last year and plopped in the ground as an experiment. More callas next year!
Georgie would you ever consider selling/marketing your jean floral apron? I am sure many subscribers would jump at the chance to look very Common Farm Flower chic in their own gardens!!
Oh Georgie what glorious flower arrangements. You have done a fabulous job for a very beautiful house. Are the small whimsical pink flowers Saponaria or Corncockle? Thank you for taking us there.
So fun!!! And what a beautiful venue. How lovely is it that you can make people's special moments even more special?? I'm wondering, though, what it might look like if you were to arrange the table flower vases in groups of maybe three, then take the teeny bud vases and sort of randomly dot them in between? I don't know, maybe that wouldn't really work, but I was thinking maybe the spaced vases on the long tables looked a little symmetrical and the tiny ones on the mantel were too small? But really gorgeous, Georgie, I'm being way nitpicky 💚
Ah the table will have been filled up with a lot more kit before the guests arrived: candelabra with tall, dipped candles, wine, water, salts and peppers and more - so I expect the posies will have been changed about to fit the rest and I never saw xxx
How do you keep your lilacs from wilting, mine only last a day or two. I harvest early morning, slit stem, use quick dip, put in cool water in cool dark room but no luck.
