Your advice is king Johnny. Bought my first decent stick & overhead today...had a cheapy when I was a kid,it ziiiinnged but.. always spin but baitcasting,once I get through the horrible stuff ..birdsnests,dialing in & ambidextry..looks fun as. Cheers Abbott.👍

It's hard for me trying to skip cast while sitting in a kayak.Have been trying to skip zman 2.5cm grubs 3gm on a zing rod and spin reel.I just love chasing bream but get some big jacks too.8lb leader so get smoked by the jacks but reckon when they don't get pressured too hard they can make mistakes.A big bream has more stamina and dirty fighters.You gotta let them and jacks go.I call it fish education.bernie

Cheers mate. Mostly 5/0 EWG hooks for skipping. 4/0 on the smaller plastics

It might be a white colored one. Sorry not sure of the name. They may be outa stock. The other alternative is an olive or brown colour with a good foil inside it. 4.5 inch
Are you using a mono to fluro setup?
I’m fishing with braid and a 1.5m fluro leader ;)
I’m going to start using soft plastics for the jacks this season and was wondering where to get the screws for the hooks ,thanks.
You tube or Google search "twist lock" "springlock" "lure keeper spring" most specialty stores carry them or they are quite easy to make yourself. Can get away with twisting a paper clip but best to use light gauge spinnerbait wire.

They’re hard to find mate. I get em from Savage gear Manic Shrimp. They’re 1/4 oz 5/0 Gamakatsu I’m pretty sure
