Wow they have been thriving! The outworld looks very nice and clean, lets hope the ants will keep it that way 😆. I personally think at least for Pogonomyrmex they cover their food with substrate because they don't want to get stuck in it while walking. Mine also seem to cover it so they can move the honey or sugar water into these little balls for easier access. 👍
The ones I do have are not for sale. However if I collect some this fall I may sell them. I had to drive all the way down there to get the ones I have now. You may want to get in touch with AntsEmporium about when they may have some in stock.
Attaching that tube to the wood was genius! Very cool.
Thanks! I can only hope to find more wood pieces like that again
Magnificent keep the great word this is very interesting content
VERY nice!
Thank you!
Looks very nice 👍
Small crazy ants can get through though 🤔 Those air vents are huge
wow that wood piece is brilliant! Gonna have to make one for my camponotus asap
I’m sure they will love that!
Great video, I find that floun works well if it double coated when in a humid environment
Double coated? Doesn’t that create an uneven surface?
That’s a pretty cool looking outworld! Love to watch DIYs on this channel!
Thank you!
Beautiful! Lovely made outworld.
Thank you!

Thanks! I believe ants cover the carbohydrate sources for several reasons. I don’t think it’s just one behavior in particular.
That was amazing ur colony is doing amazing! I can’t believe I haven’t seen this video yet!
Thanks! I gotta get more publicity haha
Been waiting for an update on this colony. Worth the wait, great video.
Thank you!
How much bullet ants can be in that formicarium
Hundreds. They will grow a lot
Nice set up!!!!
What did you use to fix the lid holding the honey water dish on the branches?
Is it the same product you use around the nest tubing?
Thanks! We used sticky tack to hold the dish in place. We sometimes use it around tubes and nests when they don’t fit as snugly as we’d like.
Where can I get the tank like you. Thank
What fluon brand did you use?
ByFormica

Can you feed them protein on camera?
Do you ever sell neoponera queens? It’s quite difficult to find anyone selling them and I’m on the other side of Texas from their normal range :(
