I daily mine in Maryland. In rain and in snow with Michelin AS3+ tires. It’s still just a car. It’s not expensive and it’s so easy to work on yourself that even I can change my water pump in 20 minutes. Parts aren’t as cheap as a civic but they won’t break the bank either. As long as you aren’t making minimum wage you can afford to own this car. I’ve owned mine about 11 months now. We love it so much my fiancé is planning on trading in her FRS for one. Inexpensive, most fun for the value, easy to maintain. I recommend this car to anyone.

HI PUSHING, I'm a 72 year old boomer. You are right about corvette clubs. They suck as much as Mensa meetings. I bought a 1967 427/435 in 1969. That one didn't kill me. I have had 14 more vettes since then. Never put a scratch in one of them. My current ride is a 2011 stick , in Supersonic Blue Metallic. Have fun . i still am.

I bought mine and did so knowing it could have expensive repairs. Bought it with a leaking oil pan gasket, doing that and the HB at the same time. 12-1500 not too bad. Trans seems solid, engine too. Just want something "nice" to me. Always a fan of the c6.

I used to have a C5 and a C6Z. Great cars and great engineering but I always found myself taking my 5th gen 1LE out much more often. Something about this heavy girl makes her more fun as a daily driver. After taking the 1LE on tail of the Dragon last year, I was convinced it was more fun than the Z. Sold both of the Vettes and now my only sports car is my old Camaro. I love the damn thing. The Z is the better track car, but the 1LE gives more smiles per mile. It has a stage 4 GPI cam, heavily modded LS3, BMR suspension mods, delrin offset diff bushings, subframe bushings, steering rack bushings and toe rods and trailing arms. Also front JPSS titanium rod inserts for the steering feel while braking/cornering. I will tell you, a regular Camaro 1LE is alright but this one here is a 10 second monster that can corner way too well. The center orlf gravity and lower weight is better on the Z but I really have enjoyed my 1LE much more. I believe the new C8's steering feel to finally be to a point where it's more enjoyable than C6 or C7z but too bad the fun stick is gone. If they reintroduce a new Corvette with a 7 speed manual, I will go purchase it.

Being a person who has owned Corvettes if you think you got a deal on one you didn’t. Let me explain if the owner is willing to discount their Vette in order to get you to buy it then they’re unloading a problem on you. When you buy a super clean low mileage Vette the sellers won’t budge on price & you’ll probably pay high retail. Now the good news is if you spend more money up front on a super clean Vette than the only thing you’ll have to do is simple fluid changes. nice video haha, i agree with most of your points... and it looks real classy until you try to open the door and the electronic door latch stops working and you have to go in by opening the trunk and pulling the tab lol

@Aninebula financed with 10 down, it was at 25k, got it dropped to 22.5, but with the interest (4.6 here in CO) and the fee they added for the "security system" brought it up to around 30k total, it was definitely more on impulse, but it wasn't a hard decision driven I had test driven a 23 miata and a 2015 Genesis coupe right before, once I hopped in the vette, I knew I was leaving with it hahaha and the odometer reads 53k so it wasn't too bad of an offer

I’m 19 and kind of thinking about getting one. Can’t afford 2 of them but
I live with my parents and I rather it be paid off sooner than later🤷🏾‍♂️

      @@MilesMadness I got mine
But bro honestly I’d wait a few years if you can
Atleast in Florida the insurance like $400 a month
If you can afford the car then I’d save and because having the income you could surely become an investor or somethin and make more money
      Cash is king rn
Cause now it’s like well I got headers coming and shit so if I sold the car it will be for break even or a loss
