Gary O’Neil is a manger that does very well when there are no expectations. He joined my club Bournemouth right after a 9-0 loss and the manger mentally nuking the squad. He joined Wolves after the manager dumped all over the club in the wake of fire sales and financial duress. He did the job at Bournemouth, but imho, for the vast majority of the season our limited number of quality players kept us up, not him. As soon as we looked “safe”, we would plummet. I think you make some valid points but some Bournemouth fans don’t like the fact he’s now doing well which seems strange. Bournemouth not only brought in a manager to play the sexy expansive football the owner wanted but have also spent 180m over the last two seasons so after the Wolves fire sale in the summer I don’t really get why Wolves should be finishing higher than Bournemouth, if they do that will be down to O’Neil.
What makes you think our squad should be top 10? We haven't finished above 10th since 19/20, finishing 13th last season with £140 million worth of extra players. I think Bournemouth fans want to make excuses for why GON is doing so well to justify the decision of sacking him
