Raw materials for PUR foam are typical: Isocyate, polyol and a catalyst (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polyurethane). Suppliers: Huntsman, BASF, DOW and probably many more. They all have a range of PUR foams depending on your needs. You can also make your own poyol mixture for creating PUR foam with your specific demands.
+biguceduce to add to the previous answer, a Flexible PU Foam needs PPG (Polypropylene Glycol), TDI (Toluane diisocyanate), silicone and catalysts (Amine and Tin). Different formulas will produce foams with different properties (hardness, height, flexibility, density, etc.). Also note that there are Molded PU foam and Rigid PU foam which require different materials and have different applications. Suppliers: PPG (Shell, Asahi glass, DOW Chemicals, etc.), TDI (BASF, Mitsui, Hanwha, etc.), Silicone & Catalysts (Momentive, Evonik, AirProduct, etc.); You may order them from various distributors around the world.
Sami salim, poison. usually we use a mercury catalyst because it's the cheapest. I get severe rashes when I handle PU items due to the mercury. Hugh quality PU's will use a platinum catalyst.

@@AliBenjellounM.. I am not sure. But, probably some manufacturers use bad quality mixture. Or, maybe they put some additives for some reason. The variations are actually good. I use the soft PU to block holes in invisible area. Or, if I am planning to remove it later. I use hard PU in visible areas where appearance is important. I cut it and shape it after it hardens, then I paint it. So, it looks integrated. The soft PU can't be cut or shaped. If you tried, it will be damaged and not do its job. PU Manufacturers don't write any useful information about the hardness of their products. So, you should buy 3 kinds or more then test them to know the hardness. I used the PU for a lot of things.
You're right Ben, I've worked with this stuff on small projects - polyurethane is great for casting stuff, but it does produce toxic fumes, so I always do my pours in an open well ventilated garage or outside. The fumes themselves are very light and don't smell toxic, but they are. Sadly if you didn't know that, then breathing them in would seem like no big deal. I hope these workers are okay in the long run.

Does foam plastic keep its volume during its transformation from solid state into liquide state under heat effect?
Polyurethane doesn't melt at all. Once it hardens there's no way to make it liquid again. Heating it up will just burn it above a certain temperature.
