  • NEVER BUY A USED HELLCAT or SCATPACK 392….. 🤯🤯🤯.. Buying a used Hellcat or Scatpack could be a HUGE financial mistake as these cars are constantly beat on and mistreated and you should be careful with these cars because of the likelihood of being beaten... #short #shorts

    Facts. 70k on an economy car is a different from 70k on a sports car. Those 70k didn't come from going back and forth to the grocery store. Those 70k come with burnouts and street races.

    • @mogulme6190
      @mogulme6190 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      And that doesn’t mean shit. Lmfao. That sports car was built to do that, y’all non car guys really don’t know what you be talking about. People drive like bats out of hell in altimas too. If the car was properly maintained 90% of the time it being raced or driven hard ain’t going to hurt it. Idk how y’all doing understand this. If you think that a product built to be driven fast won’t last because it’s been driven fast then you should be looking at a different product. You should check out any vehicle before you buy it. This advice is honestly just dudes trying to keep others out of these cars because they don’t want to be competing for attention 😂. 70k miles on a scat pack is bad news??? Sheesh y’all favorite car fragile asf then. Had Camaro when I was younger, anytime I was in that mf I had my foot in it…. Never had a hiccup. Bought it with 80k sold it with 150k. Bought a mustang gt from my cousin who I knew used to drive the piss out the car….it had 180k miles when I bought it, it did die eventually but it died at 265k miles and it never gave me trouble except a burst coolant line. It’s not that serious.

    To anyone that’s trying to purchase a used Hellcat.. Do extensive homework….
    1. Look under the car especially at the rear quarter panels. If you see rubber then you know what’s been going on
    2. Checks the Carfax history but try to get one that has been dealer maintained, if it hasn’t been to the dealer in a while, proceed with caution
    3. Check to see if the rear wheels match the front
    4. Check the brakes
    5. Check for modifications
    6. Check the gaps between the doors & front quarter panels, if they’re not aligned.. it’s been damaged
    7. Check the trunk where the air pump is for water damage from a flood
    8. If it has smell good items already hanging up it’s a flood car
    9. Take a picture of a stock Hellcat engine so you’ll know what you need to see when you inspect the engine bay
    10. Check the gaps around the lights, grill & hood… if they’re off it’s been in an accident

    Buying a used Cat/Scat is a gamble all in itself because they could have abused it around 7K miles 💀. Just my opinion but if you really want one i’d skip the discounts and the headache and just shoot for new. If you REALLY must, you’re trading that discount for time with all the research you must do about the car. You really gotta keep in mind these are probably the most abused cars in the segment, but it also depends on who owned it.

    It depends on how the car was driven by the previous owner and if it went in for its scheduled maintenance or not. My 40 something year old cousin has a Charger widebody Scatpack and I know his vehicles have always been taken care of perfectly (or as close to perfect as possible) so 70k-80k would not be a problem at all. If the previous owner is a 20 something year old who is constantly doing donuts, driving 120mph+ on the highway and ignores getting oil changes and other maintenance suggested by the dealership then it would be a good idea to pass even if the car has under 50k miles on it.

    Not all the way true, people beat on Altimas & Civics like they're Hellcats. With that said, these factory high output vehicles, are internally built, to withstand alot more. A beat on Mustang GT, will last longer than a beat on Mustang V6, for example. Now burnouts, yeah, that does add excessive tear & I realize almost everyone does it.

Do your own research into a specific car have a trusted mechanic look it over if you don’t take dealership’s word and especially if it’s a private sale. Make sure you know the vehicle’s history prior to final purchase and most of all buy what you want and can afford not what others deem fit for you. Peace and Love to all.

Will soon need tires which will be $1400 and probably a DSG service so another $600. If the car was driven hard the mileage doesn't mean much.

    A car’s mileage isn’t always a definitive factor in making it a poor purchase. A 2003 Nissan 350z with only 25k on the clock could have way more underlying problems due to lack of service maintenance. Than say a mopar with 120k and an extensive service history done at each suggested service interval with little to no problems at all. It’s buyer beware and researching not only common failure points of a specific vehicle you are interested in purchasing but tending to those first if needed. Car maintenance isn’t the most coolest thing of being an enthusiast no matter what platform someone is biased to but no doubt a crucial one to keeping your vehicle on the road to have fun in. But yet again people buying scats and hellcats could care less about oil changes and tire rotations. And would just rather be racing every other commuter that stops at a light next to them. 🤷🏾‍♂️😂

    Good or bad mileage on a car depends on what year it is. In California it's roughly about 12,000 miles per year per car that you put on. If you come across a 2017 Dodge Charger Scat pack 392 for instance and the car has 50,000 mi on it the car is still under the amount that it's supposed to be at which means the car is still in good condition as long as the maintenance and everything was taken care before you purchase the car. So look at the year of the car and the mileage on the car if it doesn't add up to that year don't buy it.

    • @jd8410
      @jd8410 ปีที่แล้ว

      Absolutely right, plus scats and hellcats just come with a lot of non controllable cons like theft problems, or the car is 40k miles but most of the time the engine is getting abused as it should if not more. Just the car scene in general makes cars like these a big red flag no matter what the baseline of the condition is unless its straight off the lot under 10k miles.

    Not always. A lot of Civic and Altima drivers are known to drive like maniacs too. Just like there’s still the old and middle aged men who drive Scatpacks and Hellcats like normal ppl and take care of them. Only way to tell is to test drive, check the car out, and read the carfax report. Any used Sedan or Coupe has a good chance of being dogged no matter how fast or slow it is. Kids typically drive coupes and sedans.

    You can't compare mundane econo /passenger cars to purpose built high performance cars! Ppl gonna drive em 100% differently. Facts. Same goes for Mustangs/Vettes/Porsche or similar.

    My rule has always been never buy a used car with more than 30k miles on it…… but I’d never buy a used scat or cat unless it’s 10k miles or under because we all know these scats and cars are dogged TF out.

      @Garrett Dixon what do you mean just to be like everyone else? What percentage of domestic cars on the road are laying 1000 hp to the ground? Not many. So if you could spend 70k on a gt350 and twin turbo it, with enough hp to beat any single car you'd ever be driving next to, how is that being like everyone else ? How is that boring? I can agree with you that most of the dinguses in mustangs can't drive for shit , but I know plenty of people with 1000hp+ mustangs that drive like pros. They're all over my state
