- This series on Astrology from the Jewish perspective is geared towards self-improvement. In this series Rabbi Kin does not cover the Astrology that relates to one's destiny or Mazal. This is the second time I have seen this video. I watched it a couple of years ago, 100% accurate. Sometimes I love being a Cancer ♋️ and sometimes I hate because I am too sensitive and too emotional which leads to a constantly misunderstanding.

definitely defined in the light of Jewish culture, but the human nature aspects indeed uphold truth. very good perspective
You may have aquarius or other Air signs in your chart. One's character is a combination of the Sun Sign, Rising Sign, and other planetary influences - especially the Moon. Not everyone is 100% typical of their Sign. Some more, some less. The Sun Sign will usually determine your direction and mission in life. However your character and personality will be colored by the most dominant "Element" in your chart, either Earth, Water, Air, or Fire, and sometimes a combination of two or more.
Cancerians are the first Water sign and it is also a Cardinal sign. People forget that about us.
As I have aged my sun sign has become less dominant and my rising sign has increasingly become for present. (Cancer sun, moon, Venus, north node and Taurus rising).
I am also an intellectual and my undergraduate degree was in philosophy and my minor was Latin.
The older I get the more of a saver I have become and finances have become increasingly important. The older I get, I rarely get angry. But when I do get angry, watch out.

+lRedBaronl I don't consider them anger problems anymore I embraced myself the good and bad. I believe those mood swings are brought on by something near by us giving off energy good or bad and we are empathetic so we receive energy from things around us, protect yourself from unwanted energies

Thank you Rabbi! It's great to learn Astrology from Torah/Kabbalistic sources. I do think you generalized a little bit. The whole chart needs to be taken into consideration. A Cancer with a Libra moon has a totally different personality than a Cancer with a Scorpio moon, for example. But overall it is so great to have a Torah source for astrology. Thank you for the class.
Obviously, as pointed out many times in the lectures and in the comments, the Rising Sign, as well as other factors in one's chart will contribute immensely in molding one's Individuality and Personality.

The meaning behind the nodes of the moon is theoretical and not so much a fact. Many believe that their position may relate to a past life and may, as a result, indicate what area needs work in the present life, hence the mission. It is possible that one's chart may show one's mission in more than one way. However, the Sun sign and the house it is in suggest a more definite "direction" of where one's potential for success and self-fulfillment are to be found.

The drug name "heroin" was made after the word "hero", as the hero drug that makes people feel loved and takes away pain so the confusion of words is actually the same name, different meaning since they are derived from the same concept. I don't know why I find myself commenting on word translation for these videos. That prohibition only applies to using signs for solid prophecy which they believe as destiny or to look into the future.
A Jew is not bound by his/her astrological “fate.” A Jew can change his fortune. Therefore using these signs for prohibited purposes hinders a Jew in their growth & makes them falsely think that they are doomed to their destiny thus stopping them from making efforts or putting in needed effort in order to mitigate a bad fate or alternatively to prevent loss of a good fate.

How is a Cusp viewed?
It appears that the Sun and Mercury may be found in the house of the previous Sign for those on the Cusp. Consequently, "certain" characteristics of the previous Sign may carry over. Nonetheless, the actual destiny and mission of the individual will always be determined by the *real* and *actual* degree of the Sun Sign.
