- This series on Astrology from the Jewish perspective is geared towards self-improvement. In this series Rabbi Kin does not cover the Astrology that relates to one's destiny or Mazal. dejan elakovic Also, us Sag are ruled by Jupiter, Roman god and obviously Greek equivalent would be Zeus. King of the Zodiac makes sense, especially because of the direct correlation to Zeus. Can even discern obvious Sagittarian traits from some of the myths.

He is only talking about sagittarius Sun sign. To understand yourself completely, you should also look at your moon sign & ascendant sign. Along with it, reading your birth chart can pin-point exactly the type of person you are and the kind of events that occur in your life. Sun sign alone gives incomplete picture.

It wasn't until I became awakened thru a very horrible experience, I started to look at my birth chart and everything made sense. 11-24-85 I’m a sag and I have never started a physical fight but I have never backed down which has caused me some butt whoopings lol, (I’m more brave than most)I have been traveling for 14 years now, I always lose my car keys, I have studied all religions and strive for truth, I write poetry and consider myself a philosopher, I also have had an issue with addiction, I definitely have a weakness with money. Dear truthsoldier ! You've practically describe my husband, who is also sag. I'm a scorpio. We met late in life. I was 53 and he was 56.We never been away from each other for 15 happy years. He is my leader in Gods ways of understanding life. To the moment we met he was clean , not drinking, no drugs for 20 years. I balance finances and he stop loosing keys. With God everything is possible. One thing I've forgot to tell you : we met after I've described to God what man I want to share my life with.Later, he told me that he prayed to God to meet me. Very accurate, the first time one of these videos has brought up the clumsiness, lol, not that I’m proud but that honesty kicks in. Everyone needs their own laundry bag .. mamma is a lover not the maid . trash goes in the trash can . my grandmother the cancer was wanderful .. if i dropped some trash she walked me to it and made me take it to the trash can . dirty clothes go in the clothes hamper .. These small tricks take just seconds and keep a home clean of clutter . Clean as you go a spot at a time then housework does not pile up .

we have good memory but aren't cautious enough and optimistic that we can find the keys so sometimes being careless makes us loose things but we will always sense the missing and run the next minute to find it so I guess it's not because of the bad memory we lose things but that we aren't careful enough and too optimistic that makes this happen

Some of this was incredibly on point but one off point was about flattery. Perhaps it's because the rabi is coming from an outside POV bit Sagittarius is THE kings and queens of flattery. The Gemini-Saggitarius polarity rules charm (both signs are equally charming in their own way). The Sagittarius loves to charm with compliments. Our memories are exceptional. And we are also observationalists. everybody has all 12 signs in their birth chart and depending on where the planets fall in their chart is going to highlight that sign more than others. For example I am a Leo with Neptune in the 3rd house which is Capricorn. (Neptune in Capricorn from 1985 -2000 ish)

Rabbi Kin, I know there isn't much attention and emphasis to horoscopes if any because a jew is beyond the mazal, but as you mentioned the signs are built into the fabric of nature, not that they are independent entities but are part of G-ds agents that has its influence on the universe. My question is seen in this light, what is Judaisms view on shiduchim, is there signs that should be together and other signs that should try not to be together? Can this be part of what we are looking for in a shiduch, besides attraction, similar views in life can this also enter into the consideration, since we can see how both are or aren't compatible at least the tendency is or isn't there to be. Very good question. Rabbi Kin has pointed out in many of his lectures concerning Mazal, that we don't have a tradition that says check one's Mazal or Astrological Sign before you decide if to marry that person. There are several reasons for this. One's Soulmate is destined from G-d, and only G-d knows what is the best match that will help one fulfill one's mission in life. So although "compatibility" is certainly affected by certain Signs that have better chemistry, Marriage is not only about "chemistry," but about many elements unbeknownst to mortals. So even though it is true that compatible signs have a better chance to get along, this works better in friendships where it will play itself out naturally. However, in marriage where the relationship is between a man and a woman, the Dynamics are already different.
Moreover, true compatibility takes into consideration other aspects in one's astrological makeup, including especially the Rising Sign which is determined by the hour of one's birth. So, it is also a bit awkward to try to find out all this information when dating. On top of all of this, you are not going to find a real expert these days who can judge only from Astrology who is for each other, specifically because matches that are made in Heaven need to happen for some reason that only G-d knows, and even some incompatibilities of the Signs may serve as challenges that will promote growth for the two individuals involved.
Based on all of the above, one should follow the traditional way of dating, pray, and look for what is important in a solid relationship. Rabbi Kin has lectures about all of this. Nevertheless, if you have a good understanding of Astrology, you will notice "most of the time" that good relationships have a high degree of compatibility. But even then, the best of relationships can go sour if mistakes are made and the couple does not receive proper guidance early on. Whereas people who may not be so compatible can learn to cooperate if they respect each other.

So in a sense matchmaking you can say is the exception, since there are many other aspects G-d takes in to account. That is correct. Rabbi Kin has said numerous times that the real life examples of the Signs that he used in these lectures are descriptions given by Linda Goodman in her famous book Love Signs. Rabbi Kin considers her work to be one of the best in Astrology which is why he used it. However, the goal of these lectures is not only to present the characteristics of every Sign, but to also give over the Jewish perspective on many details of Astrology especially in the area of character refinement.
