  • เผยแพร่เมื่อ 15 ก.ย. 2019
  • We missed the Full crane score, (+30) and the bridge and flags(+50). If we had not missed those missions, we would have achived a score of 455 points.

    Great job boys! I would be reading the rules though your robot is meant to return to home not launch at the end of a run. Your use of the jig after launch wouldn’t be allowed with new rule changes either. Best of luck for the season.

    One thing you can do to make crane work and get full points (stack blue square on other in the circle) is to stutter the attachment. Instead of making it just push the lever and make cube fall quickly, add wait blocks and lower attachment multiple times, so it slowly brings the cube on top of the other. With this, it worked in our competition every time!

  • @jeffbriggs3952

    As others have stated robot must return to HOME area before you touch it after every mission or you will lose precision tokens. Great start to solving the missions!!!! Now to improve so you follow rules fully and don't lose precision tokens

    Very good job guys but if i am not mistaken some of the points for the design and build mission were counted wrong. For example in 1:24 you have 6 levels which are 30 points + the upgrade up top which is 10 makes sums up to be 40 points not 30 also in 1:44 you also get 10 points because there are red stacks on a red circle which sums it up to 60 point in total

    Awesome run! You guys seem to have things under control, maybe you can help me answer a question. Scoring for mission 12 confuses me. How many independent stacks can be scored? My team started by stacking somewhat similar to you guys, but then after looking over the rule book we thought we could unstack them for more points. So we push the 4 tan buildings into the closest circle to home. They are not touching and independent of each other. The rules read, "If there are independent stacks at least party in any circles, add all of their heights together, 5 each level." Does that not mean each stack we pushed in is worth 10 points for 40 points total? When we stack them up as one tan building theyre only 4 blocks high and one stack so that would be 20 points.

That was a cool move - made me think of Team Untitled’s robot for Senior Solutions (if anyone is reading this and hasn’t seen it, then please go youtube it for it is one of the most beautiful intricate robots out there). Are you counting for precision tokens lost because of returning to launch instead of home? If you touch it in "launch" area after it returns, a precision token will be removed. It must go back to "home" before you can make changes to the robot.

    • @HAL9000Robotics
      @HAL9000Robotics  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hope Beall, No the 370 points is not including points lost from precision tokens. At the time of recording the video,
      we did not know about that rule change. We are working on fixing it!

    I know this is late, but watch out for teams like mine that are driving onto the other person's bridge immediately and dropping a barrier in it halfway with intention of messing up their program entirely

    • @HAL9000Robotics
      @HAL9000Robotics  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Although that is a great idea, First has specified that putting a barrier on the bridge is not legal so you may run into problems at the competition if you attempt that.

  • @FSchwamle

  • @alistairchapman7593
    @alistairchapman7593 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    I would say the the mission with the swing is not legal as you touched the robot via the guide as it acme back into launch. Also you are not letting you robot return to BASE before touching it...it has to get off the game board before you can touch it.

      Yes, you do have to go up the bridge in the last launch or else the flags aren't visible at the end of the match. for example, in your first launch if you went up the bridge and pushed up both flags, but went back down the ramp to home that would not score any points.
