British Airways FIRST CLASS on its Longest Flight (15 Hours!)

- In this flight review, we fly British Airways First Class on a Boeing 787-9 from Tokyo Haneda to London Heathrow.
We will take a tour of Haneda Airport Terminal 3 and enjoy its great observation deck, perfect for plane spotting. We will also visit Japan Airlines' Sky View Lounge, where we will enjoy its famous beef curry with stunning runway views.
After boarding the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, we will take a detailed tour of the BA First Class seat, exploring all the amenities. Also, we will enjoy British Airways' new catering proposition with food being served course by course again.
This flight review also includes impressive views of Mount Fuji and Greenland.

Thanks for the upload. I upgraded to BA’s lst class back in 2019 on my usual long haul route. While I enjoyed more space and slightly more attentive service I thought that the extra price wasn’t really worth the extras they provided. Recently I’ve switched to Air France and my experience so far in Business has been amazing, based on that I’ll be using them again this year.

Good you had an upgrade. Air France A380 from JFK to CDG was one of our worst Business Class flights. We paid full price for that. We to the lounge at 5PM. Food was not special and it was crowded. Boarding was chaotic, no order and no BC signs.
We got our welcome drink with nuts. When our FA came back to take the glass and nut dish, she told us that no meals will be served because "you went to the lounge That was almost 11pm. Very disappointed but what can we do? By 3AM, I felt so hungry. I went to the galley, no snacks there except drinks and a rude Flight Steward slamming the doors of the warmers.
Pre arrival breakfast small not so edible portions and 2 mini croissants the size of a small egg. I think they call this "mini croissant."
In our case, we try to avoid AF since 2017.
It's really a hit and miss.

We have booked First Class in Sept ‘24 with no mention of it being ‘Business Class’ so looks like it is now the full First Class service again.

Question - did you buy the ticket or through reward points? If reward points, was the availability decent?
I had a panic when reviewing this video that it would be a downgraded product. Just booked 1st for a haneda flight in December. There's an article saying it was reintroduced in September 2023, after this video, so fingers crossed that is accurate!
An enjoyable watch! I'm flying onboard that plane later today but in club world. I'm curious why you didn't visit the JAL First Lounge?

Hey there, Paul! At the time BA didn’t sell First Class on the route, so it was basically a Club World flight in a First seat. That’s why I didn’t get access to the First lounge! Hope you had a lovely flight - let me know! Thanks for watching ☺️✈️
@@comfytravels ah yes that makes sense. We had good food and service but that old club world seat is awful.
wow I like the JAL lounge in HND more than the Cathay one in HKG👍 Also I like the ANA lounge in HND too which is as good as JAL's !

I am pretty sure BA's longest route is LHR to SCL not to HND
Thanks for watching! They actually have about the same block time now that European airlines cannot fly over Russia - I think Haneda-Heathrow is actually slightly longer than Heathrow-Santiago :)
My favours aircrafts are B787-10 & A350-1000 for now
Nice video. What happened to the jet bridge? Nice to hear the word First Class but the lounge, airline food, amenity kit are the same as Business Class. The only good side is the seat which is wider and more space than Business C.
We will try FC someday if we find the right schedules and 4-5 hours layover( good for delays, transfer and security) try the Concorde lounge so it's worth the money we pay.

to be accurate its business class in a first class seat. BA are really on their way down. Whats the point of a firs class seat without the service. Shocking.
Thanks for watching! Could be because they only had a daily service until a few weeks ago, and they had B787-8 (no First) or B787-9 depending on the day, so maybe didn’t want to sell First without product consistency. I have just checked and they are still not selling First though 😊
BA does not offer First Class to Japan! The First cabin is used solely as overflow from Club World. You seem to consume a lot of calories! 😮

Wait can you select these seats for free if you’re flying business?
@@zakiullah1994 I don't think you can. When you go into seat selection, it will only let you choose seats in the business cabin (for the B787-9 that's Rows 6 to 13). I got my seat when I checked in at Haneda Airport.
@@zakiullah1994 Depends on your status level with BA, fair paid and any cooperate contract you may be under. Even when what they consider true F my corporate contact with the company allows me to book F on a J fair. Do it all the the time on JFK/LAX to LHR. BA doesn't have a great F product in general but I appreciate the upgrade so take it over AA typically.

I have booked J for me and my family to Tokyo for next year. Seat selection doesn’t show any option to select those F seats and I also hold no status with BA so I’ll be enjoying a pretty underwhelming J experience with BA!
Flew early this year on ANA the room and it was pretty nice!
They cancel your flight and refuse to refund the downgrade. $10,000 lost and refuse to refund or even give credit! 4 tix international "sorry we cant help you"
