I love how stiffly the characters move in Morrowind. Especially the ash vampires. They run like they're trying to make it to a toilet before they sh!t themselves.
Yeah but at the same time if they are dunmer with ascended corprus then fire resistance and extreme strength and endurance would complicate things. I would love to see this with less friendly fire and using the Beware the 6th house mod
@@ma2perdue Surprisingly, Ash Vampires don't have any passive bonuses or resistances to particular elements, so spellcasters will do full damage to them. Mods can, of course, change their stats in any possible way. To ensure consistent fight outcomes, I do all my fights on a vanilla (GOTY) installation of Morrowind.
That's right! The best troops the Sixth House has to offer lose to regular flame atronachs xD Ash vampires fare really poorly against offensive spellcasters. (They do okay vs melee opponents.)
Flame Atronachs have twice the attack speed of Frost Atronachs. Therefore, they are very strong for their level. In the Atronach Rebalance mod, they all fight equally well.
These are great but the flaw is that anything that has an AOE damage spell is going to have a massive advantage (hence flame atronachs beating ash vampires) because the groups are bunched close together. One flame atronach spell an ash vampire could shrug off, but seven each time and often three to four in a row? I’d like to see what bigger spacing would do
I could definitely increase the spacing a bit, especially so when there are this few fighters in the arena. As to the matchup you brought up, note that the spell the Flame Atronachs were using (Firebloom: Fire Damage 1-25 pts, 5 seconds, 10 feet, Target) has a very large area of effect, so seeing it hitting multiple targets at once is to be expected.
Contrary to the what the video says, Ash Vamps are acctaully quite powerful, they aren't great against large numbers and often times you'll fight them when they have the better numbers.
Ash Vampires do have good stats by base game standards. However, since they're supposed to be the best the Sixth House has to offer, I still expected more from them. Maybe they would fare better in a duel?
It may not make much of a difference whether they use the Amulets or not. When used, the 6th House Amulet drains the user's Personality by 20 points for 5 seconds, which doesn't impact combat performance at all. What's more, since spells casted from an enchanted item don't require going through an animation, there's also no time wasted when using the Amulet. The only way I can see the Amulet having a measurable impact on combat performance is if having it in the inventory somehow prevents the Ash Vampires from using their other, more powerful "Cast When Used" type enchanted items. Even though these items would have greatly helped the Ash Vampires in these fights, they were for some reason never used. I am glad that there are mods like Beware the 6th House, they are too weak for main antagonists imo
