Another factor that plays into likelihood of pregnancy is relationship with your spouse. An easy way to increase this is to have them in your party and then gift them everything you have in your inventory. Since they are your spouse and in your party you will maintain possession of all items. However it would drastically increased your relationship with your spouse and therefore increase your chance of children
Played a female character and have no idea how I got pregnant, but the message just popped up right before a siege that I had given birth. And then apparently just tossed the kid to his father and got on with business. The mysteries of life still elude me in this game…
I swear that both in Warband, but particularly in Bannerlord, most of the characters always look maniacal, crazy, loony, psycho, etc. Is that just me? 🤣
5:55 except it is MUCH cheaper to marry them if you courted them, not to mention much more into the role playing route, one you said at the start you preferred. Would be best to mention also that only the age of the female has an effect on the chances of a kid. And the perk "virile" doesn't stack I think, so both getting it don't increase your chances.
I did not know the virile perk didn't stack. i always seemed to have a lot more kids if both people had it, but i guess it must have been a coincidence if what you say is true. Regarding the price, yes, going through the courting process does make it a lot cheaper and is better for roleplay.
In real life, courting didn't always happen beforehand. Sometimes people straight up bought their wives or even worse, just stole them. Genesis Khan is an example of it being done to him and the other way around as well. Some saints are examples too I think.
Be sure to get your brother and find him a wife early too, if you want a large family later. I hate wasting time, I never just idle in a town. If you also don't like to just skip time, spend time in towns smithing as a bonding activity! Or travel looking for quests, bandits camps and tourneys and just stay a couple of days each town. Or combine the two gathering junk to smelt, wood and other nice trades and smith and recover stamina from all your activities.
I always play a female character because the male lords you can marry have much higher skills compared to the female lords. I believe you only need your husband in your party with you. You appear to get pregnant quicker if you wait in town, but I've also got pregnant while traveling across the map (but only once). The older you are the less likely you will become pregnant. 20-years of age gets pregnant easier then 50-year of age, so keep that in mind when starting sandbox mode. You also don't need to leave anyone in town when they are pregnant. They can fight a war campaign and there is no negative side effect of being pregnant.
Good to know. I have never started a campaign as a woman. I only end up playing as them if my male character dies, and i don't have a suitable male heir to play as, then i typically take over as my wife to lead the clan.
@@vortex_1336 well you technically would be the clan leader if you're playing as a female. But im wondering if in story mode how that plays out with the siblings and the guy you marry
You can also create a save point a day or so before the birth and you can reload over and over until you get twins. I got my wife pregnant 4 times and she had 8 kids. If you are really anal and have the patience you can reload until you get twin boys, so they can all marry and stay in your clan. the daughters have to stay unmarried to remain in your clan.
@@Dare_To_Game Twins are supposed to be "RARE" Yet I have great success with them. I have had twins, and I have had twins where one was a still birth(dead). I had twins and wife died in child birth. All from just reloading saves.
My friend, you did it.. I was starting to think that the game had a bugo on that matter.... but I did just what you said, and on the 3th day on my castle, my wife got pregnant. thank you
As a Batannian i tried to marry One of the Vlandians to make my sons rulers of their Land and i tried hard on Silvind was a Nightmare going back and forth, i managed out to win her favour and by the time i went to her mother she became the wife of and Aserai. There is a mod for that but it is very buggy and will randomly faction kick you ao you need tons of alternate saves. You just have to change the seed by doing something slightly different the next time like donating a soldier, walking a different direction, staying in town instead of leaving
Thank God this game doesn't do anything about adultery. I had both my brothers running caravans and their wives, along with my own, in my party. While waiting for night to raid a hideout both their wives got pregnant. I know that's just how it works and it's not really adultery, but it still feels like my character should have lost his Loyal trait.
Interesting. I had often wondered my brothers were getting their wives pregnant when they were all off governing seperate estates for me. Now i know it can happen that way.
This has happened to me as well. I do not know why it happens, but i went an entire playthrough with one spouse, until she died, and we only managed to have one child. But then i remaried and my second wife gave me six children.
I've only once tried the second option. But the head kept on giving me the wrong candidate which forced me to just go for the first option. It is more time consuming and if you ever miss-clicked and fails it, all your hard work goes kaput. But I guess it is very fun. Frustratingly so.
You dont actually have to wait in a town to get pregnant. As long as your spouse is in your party it can happen any day change. Ive had many pregnancies just wandering around the map
Three questions, can I get my wife pregnant if I’m waiting the the town she is Governing, 2 is there a cooldown after giving birth to the next time she can get pregnant, three does having a stillborn harm chances for future pregnancy?

Question: Is it possible to marry the head of a clan? And if so what happens to her clan, if you're a male? And what happens if you're a female and you marry a male? Do you get indoctrinated into his clan?
Yes, you can marry the head of a clan, as long as they aren't married. As for what happens.
