Their all like that. That’s why I like them personally.
Seen AC/DC about 17 times since 1979. You never get tired of it, one of the last real rock bands still around.

I never get tired of Brian's stories. He's a GREAT story teller as well.
The reason why people like Brian are still a round is because he is just one of the lads, nothing more and nothing less. One of the boys.
Brian is a guy that would be fun to sit and have a pint or three just talking about whatever. It would be a joy.
I was working at Sam Ash in Sarasota as the sales manager when Brenda Johnson came in and I started helping her with a music program that Brian was starting at a local hospital. Brenda wanted to get him an upright bass for Christmas in 2009 and I couldn’t get one sent to the store so I drove to the Miami Sam Ash on my day off to get it For her. I delivered it to her house and set it up in a spare room to hide it from him. Brenda gave me a tour of the house, garage and his cars. A week after Christmas Brenda came into the store and asked me to come outside. When I got outside Brian sprang out of the car and gave me a huge hug and thanked me for what I had done for him and Brenda! What an amazing couple. I miss my days at Sam Ash in Florida.

So funny when he said no one will know who I am, people will still be dancing to ACDC & Brian in 100 years' time. He might be getting older but the music will live on forever.

Very good point , I sometimes forget what a working class Scottish family they came from , I know they lived in Oz for most of their life ,but they were bought up by Glaswegian parents , so yeah no airs and graces around them .👍
I met Brian Johnson in 1998 at a gig at the City Hall in Newcastle. He genuinely IS like in this interview: down to earth, chatty, a genuinely lovely guy. Meeting him, you'd never think in a million years he's a famous, millionaire rock star.
AC/DC hired Brian as lead singer and they became superstars. Not many bands go on to become superstars with a new singer
“Highway to Hell” (Bon Scott, vocals) was their breakthrough album in the US. So they were pretty much superstars already after that was released. It’s true, though, that they had staying power after that, and it’s also true that very few bands can claim that. Pink Floyd got bigger after Roger Waters replaced Syd Barrett, and Genesis got bigger after Phil Collins replaced Peter Gabriel

@@gregbors8364 Roger was already in the band as was Phil , Dave Gilmour came in and took over Syds role as he was becoming a little less reliable and eventually left/kicked out depends what band member tells the story … and they weren’t superstars listen to the interview again and you’ll hear Brian say when they went to the Bahamas to record the album they were sat at the back of the plane as the band had to watch their pennies , read his book and you’ll find out when he joined the band they were all on a wage it wasn’t rolls Royce’s and mercs
Not too many rock stars like Brian he's one of a kind he's one of your Heroes you're not afraid to meet because he won't disappoint you
Brian Johnson and AC/DC are simply the best. Bon Scott was great, his music will live forever, but what AC/DC created with Brian is just magical. There isn't a Place on Earth they wouldn't play to sold out crowds
You clearly don’t know your AC/DC history.
Bon helped lay the groundwork with his brilliant songwriting along with the Young brothers. All Brian did was step in and help keep it going. So kudos to both, but the _real_ brilliance was the music created with Bon Scott.

Brian did more between the ages of 16-32 than most men these days have done in 50 years. Incredible journey to superstardom and a very inspiring book.

He’s the kind of guy you could listen to his stories all day he’s just so awesome. I would love to meet him just once. I love how he doesn’t bash Bon that’s respectable also.And the fact that he did one of my favorite Tina Turner songs? For his audition that’s just truly iconic.
I love both, Bon and Brian, and Back In Black is one of the greatest albums ever
God do I wish there was footage of Brian's AC/DC audition! I can see it in my head--the newsboy cap, the thunderous grunting voice, Malcolm more or less learning Nutbush City Limits in 20 seconds, the boys still wearing uneasy looks on their faces. Then Mal strums a chord....and then kapow....Book II of AC/DC beginith.
There were smartphones, the Internet, Social media Reality talent shows in 1980. .
It has to be fate that made Brian choose Nutbush City Limits as song to audition with because the song has a riff and a groove PERFECTLY suited for ACDC . I can't imagine how powerful that sounded.
He's one of the true greats, and a wonderful story teller. Didn't know he was so influenced by Dan McCafferty (RIP), who I've been comparing him to for years. Makes sense, but even Brian would have to concede that Dan's voice was an untouchable monster that could do things no one else can.
I am a big fan of Dan too. I would have much rather have him sing for Brian than Axl Rose.
I think it is more accurate to say an already well-known band goes to the next level with a new singer....that is incredibly rare.
Brain did it because AC/DC went (dare I say) a bit "pop" and women started to like their some of their songs. Like Def Lep.

Why I love these lads and such. For as big as they are, they are like the guys you go into a bar and have a dring. They are rock gods legends all the above and don't act it. Seen them about 8 times that I recall and like a religious experiance each time. Cheers to you Brian

Brian is a major ROCKSTAR but in his own mind, he’s just a normal guy. So nice, funny and humble. I’m a fan of that!
Just a really great guy...humble, honest, witty...his TV show with Robert Plant in mid Wales near where I grew up was fantastic...
I know exactly what Brian meant about listening to music in the car with hearing loss. Similar to mine, it's depressing! With the sound of the car, road and engine the music sounds out of key, you can't hear some of the tones, you can't even tell what band or song is playing. All changed when I started wearing hearing aids. Good on him!
ACDC are my favourite band and Brian Johnson is my favourite human being.
Brian is a badass… to take on the task of filling Bob’s shoes you have to be. And he did it better than anyone could have ever imagined.

Brian is an absolute gem of what fame and fortune should look like. He has never changed. A true down to earth rock legend and he doesn’t think of himself more than a friend next door. I hear Brian everyday. He’s been with me since 1980. Thank God for AC/DC. 24/7/365!!!! Forever!!!!

Nearly finished reading his bio, 'The Lives of Brian'. ACDC saved him, but I also believe ACDC would not have had the success they had if Bon lived. Brian gave them a real international sound that Bon (as much as I love him) couldn't.
I think Bon was a bit too cheecky of an lad to last long on international scene

I had the pleasure of seeing them once. One of the best shows I was ever at. It was absolutely the #1 most energetic show I ever attended. Legends.
I saw AC/DC with Aerosmith and Foreigner in 1978, (I think), Chicago Summer Jam, Cominsky Park.

All those guys dead or alive were such nice and NORMAL people, i mean when Bon died and they took in Brian who was a great replacement and i think they helped out Bons Mom and she said Bon would have wanted them to continue, just TALANTED hard working guys who loved music, I think Angus was really overlooked for his guitar skills!!!!! I remember older people saying AC/DC were nothing but screamers but obviously they were wrong!

I've never seen ACDC, but I have seen Air Supply 12 times.
the whole point of Johnson style is not to sing, but to belt it out. I cant call it singing but I can call it carrying a tune in the right circumstances. Basically Death Metal before Death Metal.
