Excellent content my man yet again 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 This is a masterpiece and I love that it's a semi idler so I can do other stuff I gotta do whilst playing this. Stay safe
@@TimeToGrind Hmm just a thought... I know I tend to search those up quite a lot so I'm wondering if it's something that could help your channel if many people are like me. But just considering the types of games you tend to review (at least in my short time here) they aren't usually the most straightforward games but I'm sure for the ones you get really invested in you may learn a lot of neat stuff, and you already have the platform and presentation skills to communicate it. It likely requires more effort since you have to research as well as experiment yourself. Anyways... Was just a thought that came to me as I began confusedly playing Loop Hero and was browsing YT for guides (there aren't many yet tho of course)
Also, there was something I found counter-intuitive in the demo. If you retreat back to your campfire, the entire loop and the world around it resets to nothing - I was not prepared for that.
Played the full game last night and I'm hooked. It is hard to describe how it can be relaxing (almost boring at some point) and exciting (and/or heart-wrenching) at the same time. Such a weird but interesting experience. I cannot wait to play more!
Yeah I felt this too but not in a good way. It seems to both ask for constant engagement in the form of needing you to frequently update your items but also not really offering you much to do other than that. I feel like it'd be a cool idle game to run in the background while I do other things if it weren't for the need to constantly optimize and then just...wait. It feels like it's in the awful middle ground of not quite being able to be idle and not having enough to engage me other than hoping for a good RNG and then optimizing the item best I can. Placing environment feels really cool at the beginning, especially finding what tiles combo with each other and then.. It just feels like. Okay I have mountain, I have to place this next to mountain. I have treasury I have to place things next to it. The amount of loops I have to do to build things at camp gets tedious. Obviously some tactical choices get to be made like when to place a vampire place near a village and stuff but there's not enough to feel engaging. Appreciate the reviews though definitely going to check the rest of your vids.
@@timmcgough7714 Definitely understand where you are coming from and I could see how the game might annoy some people. Glad you still enjoyed the review though and hope you enjoy my other videos :)
I don't believe there are many spoilers here at all. Pretty sure everything he said is stuff you'd discover within an hour of playing the game... most of which is stuff you'd learn simply by reading the cards and buildings descriptions for the first time. Also... the video doesn't specify that it's "spoiler-free" and if you're looking up a review on any game, the YTer is going to be describing their experience with the gameplay thus far so i'm not sure how you can expect anyone to get their message across without at least a few minor gameplay spoilers ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Just my 2 cents. Get the game though if you haven't already, it's really fun! Have a fabulous day/night!
Nice, I'm sold.

Thanks for the upload! I'ma have to take a break from work to watch this in a bit hehe.... also, comments help the YT algorithm right?
Haha they do ;)
@@TimeToGrind noted ;)
Do you ever plan on doing like tips/guide videos on the games that you find yourself really getting into?
I haven't planned it but it's something I wouldn't be opposed to!

Gotcha that's a really good idea I'll have to think about that and see how I could do it.
Thanks so much for the support and great ideas 🖤
3 months in and you call this best of 2021? I want to see this one your top 10 list and the end of they year or i will be quite disappointed.
Haha that's how confident I am about how good this game is! You will definitely see it somewhere high up on my top 10 lists at the end of the year :)
Only bought the game because of your review...and it is soo goood. I am hooked! Great work as always, look forward to every new video.
Thanks so much and I hope you enjoy the game!
Another great review! Thank you for the breakdown :)
Thanks :) Glad you enjoyed it!
Such good pixel art, it's a dime a dozen these days but this is top tier
Definitely agree.
Can't wait for this.
But even when this comes out in an hour or so I still want to play some Vault of the Void :-)
I really need to take a look at that game again. I played it when it first came out but I see it's got a ton of updates!
@@TimeToGrind It's tons of fun. I don't know the shape of it when you played it last, but it's really polished.
Also, there was something I found counter-intuitive in the demo.

Yeah it is a little unexpected but it definitely makes sense as you play more.
aight i said screw it. just bought it and it installed quicker than i could type this comment LOL
Haha nice it's a pretty small file size. I know you'll enjoy the game!

I 100% know exactly what you're talking about and I love the game for it.
@@TimeToGrind First time fighting the Lich and managed yo dodge him 4 times in the roll makes you feel like a badass blessed by RNG. Love it.
Haha RNGesus was watching from above!

Thx for the tons of spoilers -.-
