I have a 513 S-A manufactured January of 1953. Mine has the red field peep sight on the rear like the T however the regular post type front site. My dad got it brand new as a kid and passed it down to me. Thanks for the video
I am enjoying your channel so much. Psychological states can be contagious, now I feel like I need to look for some older bolt action 22 rifles. Preferably a Remington made in March of 1947. The holy grail!
Beautiful rifle. Superb video. Love the rifles of that era including Remington, Winchester and Marlin. Really they're kind of a Cliffnote illustration of our manufacturing history going from making efforts to put out the best product possible to let's just get it out the door letting the customer be the QC.
521-T was intended to be a youth model. The Lyman 57rs on that one is unobtanium if it’s missing from your gun. The 521-t was the only gun ever adorned with the 57rs
Yes I believe yours is correct. My first 521-t came without the sight and they are impossible to find. I now have a correctly outfitted 521-t and sold the first.
Funny, I was thinking I named it wrong when editing the video because it didn’t actually move when cocked......i was thinking it had to have a different name. Thanks for clearing that up!
Yes, the Nylon 11 is the same action dropped in the DuPont patented Nylon stock….the ten rounders are nice but they protrude. Some like the smooth lines.
Oooooooh Down The Remington Rabbit Hole I Go 😮😀😳 Were Almost To The 514 One of My Favorite Single Shot Remington Bolt Action 😀 Mine Has a Weaver K2 Scope 😀

Dad found that peep sight somewhere.......is there a dovetail blank in the barrel or an empty space?
My first bolt action rifle my dad got me in 1960 was a Remington 513-S.
Nice!

Yes, so many different designs. Thanks for tuning in.
Those were nice rifles.
I have a 510A Targetmaster, single shot my Dad bought for me at least 50 years ago.
Check out the latest video on the Firearms and Fellowship channel. Something tells me he’s a subscriber of mine!
The magazines for your 513 look identical to the magazine to my 511 Scoremaster. A rifle my grandfather bought at the local hardware store in 1947.
Yes, those magazines are interchangeable. Nice to have one your grandfather bought new.
I have a 513-T made in 1956. It's a very accurate rifle. That Sporter is slick sir.
I agree.....I think it works well adorned this way.
The S is one I haven’t got my mitts on yet!
.....and those mitts are pretty full!

It has what I believe to be the correct sight.....you tell me.

Another great video , thanks. Love my 500 series 22s
Just so you know that’s not a cocking piece but instead it’s called the bolt sleeve.
Funny, I was thinking I named it wrong when editing the video because it didn’t actually move when cocked......i was thinking it had to have a different name. Thanks for clearing that up!

Those magazines look exactly like the ones for my Remington Nylon 11 bolt action . You can get them in 10 rounders as well .
