The top speed is 27 MPH, not 39 MPH. Yamee programs their display to read much higher than you are actually going. Redo you speed test with a GPS to confirm. Go into settings and change the tire size from 24 inch to 20 inch (which it actually has) and you will get a more accurate reading.

I get scared of the safety on these bikes If you hit a big rock at fast speeds do you just go flying?

To be fair, if you hit a big rock at fast speeds in *any* vehicle, you’ll probably go flying.

no more than you would on a normal bike... These 20" fat tires are similar in diameter to car tires. I'm not sure what size of rock your talking about but anything less than 8 inches tall won't be able to flip you. Not sure why you would want to hit a 8in rock at full speed tho.

There's always a little worry with that, I flew over my handlebars once because a couple dogs jumped in front of me while I was going 30!!!
No broken bones but I got some scratches and blood.
