    Pls make camaro video, I just started working on a 1999 z28 that my dad has worked on for a couple years, then it sat for a couple years and now I’m trying to get it on the street. It will take around 2-3 years to get on the street only because I’m paying for every part and I have a small job that I got less than a week ago. Excited to see camaro stuff!

    I love this car. Subscribed just to see the COBRA!

    I was in high school in the early 2000's. Back then fox bodies, IROCs, or these SVT Cobras and 4th gen Camaros roamed the streets. And despite the fact that I bought a new Mustang GT in 2016 that's faster than the old cars, my heart still has a soft spot for the 90s classics that I used to long for when I turned 16. I remember how good those 90s SVT Cobras sounded when they drove by and I was waiting for the bus. I think every guy has a special feeling for cars that were around when they were young ,no matter how much faster new cars get.
    Take good care of her!

    LOL on your intro. Thank you! You can't rely on those printed valuations, as they are not ACV. I think the car is worth more (especially now, in this market) so I wouldn't feel bad at all.

    Spending money on something you love is priceless. I paid $7700 for my 95 Cobra here in California with 138,000 miles. The odometer doesn’t work so who really knows how much mileage she has. I love your style!

    • @UmmYeahOk
      @UmmYeahOk ปีที่แล้ว

      The odometer gears are brittle plastic and break over time. My 94 broke in 2007. A replacement gear is like $10 and easy to swap out.

    I think your car looks great ! No way it looks like it has that many miles. If it were my car, I'd keep it looking like you have it now. I love the factory rims. I'd even try to find the factory head unit ( FM/AM tuner cassette) and CD player that fits below. The MACH 460 sound system has a amazing and full sound when all parts of it are together.

    You enjoy it. It's your time and labor. What I like is how you make clean, methodical repairs and upgrades, and you take care of the vehicles so that they'll last.

    I think you’ve gotten a couple of grand at least if not more enjoyment from it so far with more to come, so you are still doing good with it I think. Great that it runs so nice with nearly half a million miles on the clock!!! The proposed mods you have planned sound promising too.

    I love this cobra!! All the work you’ve done has just improved it so much! I’ll be honest and say I’d buy it. Has the motor ever been rebuilt? Can’t wait to see you do the things you mentioned to it. I’ll be the first person to buy those wheels if you sell them hahah

    • @ReynoldsRides
      @ReynoldsRides  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Per the original owner, the engine has not been rebuilt. Crazy, huh?!

  • @Michael_Lorenson
    @Michael_Lorenson 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    As a DIYer, I buy and drive older cars, and always have. I think KBB is about right. A Cobra has some intrinsic value to an enthusiast. I'd want to know its history, and do a compression test. If that was all good, I would consider buying it. I think $3,500 is about the most I would pay, depending on all the details. To be fair, though, Mustang prices seem to have shot up recently, so maybe I'm low. The good news is that you have very little money in it, and depreciation will be negligible, relative to other options. The sales tax and doc fees for a new Mustang could easily match what you've spent, for example. First year depreciation would be more. But, if I were you, I'd leave this one stock. It's a one-owner, unmolested vintage Mustang. Don't modify it, preserve it. At least keep the stock parts, including the exhaust and suspension stuff. JMO.

    If you love the car, it doesn't matter how much you spend on it. Just don't expect to get it back when you sell it.

    I watch every video you do, but I particularly like the Cobra series as I have a PG 97 coupe. What is your opinion of the feel and appearance of the Wheelskin black steering wheel cover? My Cobra also has a Saddle interior with the usual ratty looking leather on the original wheel. Waiting for more new content!

    • @ReynoldsRides
      @ReynoldsRides  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That was there when I bought it but I really like the look and feel.

    • @777Trolly
      @777Trolly 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ReynoldsRides Good to know. If you could, on one of your next Cobra videos, show a straight on view of the wheel cover and perhaps mention that you like it. A lot of Cobra owners have a crapped out leather surface on their steering wheels. It is a more cost effective solution than replacement. A suggestion might be to do an install video on one of your project cars in the future if it had a worn surface.

    Thats actually not that bad money wise for a Cobra mustang.And there are very few cars that ever are valued at what we have spent on them for modifications.And funny enough most cars are more valuable if you don't modify them but we car guys do it because its what we do.lol.

    $40 for emissions? How old does the car have to be to get exempt? My state started doing emissions in my county back in 2004. In 2018, they charged me $7 because they no longer needed to test my 94 for emissions.

      I have never heard the term “old edge.” Do you mean “round body?” They don’t really have any edges, which is why the facelift was called “new edge.”
      Being that your comment is a year old, were you ever able to get one?

    The car seems to be all stock and original you stole that car and it's worth more than you have in it. Keep it stock and find someone professional to rebuild the motor and minor repairs. Get someone to paint it nice for a decent price and you still won't be upside down into that car. I've seen them sell for 35 hundred that didn't run. I paid 4 for mine and it needs paint and interior. Look at some of the prices on Facebook mustang groups guy's are getting good money for cobras . There's a guy on TH-cam that just paid 13 thousand for one that is the same year and color as yours. Keep it stock and do the work and hold on to it 5 more years it will be a twenty thousand dollar car watch and see.
