2024-08-05 - Bulgaria Sofia Holiday - Day 4

We had a rental car, and planned to visit the historical and famous monastery at Rila. As the crow flies, about an hour away, but by the roads, it took nearer 2 hours. But the drive was WELL WORTH it. What a fantastic example of local architecture, and beautiful surroundings. We were in awe of the decoration inside and out of this magnificent church.
