Agreed when I wear it in the summer no ones says "what you wearing" I wore it last December and 2 women family members asked what I was wearing told them and they bought profumo for their husbands.

I have a bottle of Allure Homme Sport Eau Extreme that I got in 2017 for Christmas, because I wanted a safe-purchase lady pleaser and it was the one that Jeremy would always recommend. I got it and was so disappointed. It's definitely a lady pleaser, but I just never got into it. However, this was way before I started collecting fragrances, so if I got one fragrance for Christmas then it was practically my daily driver - so it's unsurprising that it holds so many memories for me; practically my college years 2018-2020.
The bottle of Eau Extreme is impossible to see through under normal conditions, so it's hard to gauge just how much juice there is left. I thought I was on the brink of running out so I wore it sparingly, and then I told myself that it was much better than a I remembered. I bought more fragrances and suddenly Eau Extreme became a prized item that I wore on special occasions. However, I recently found out that you can see the juice level by shining a bright light through the bottle and was surprised to see I have just under half of the 100ml bottle still left; which goes to show you how much I really didn't like it for me to still have nearly half liquid remaining despite it being my daily driver for 2 years. There were days where I wouldn't even spray it, I would just shower and go out because I'd rather smell like Dove Men's body wash than Eau Extreme.
Suddenly, I stopped caring about Eau Extreme. I didn't even touch it. I was nowhere near being nearly out and it suddenly returned to being unappealing to me.
I suspect I'll go back to wrestling with my emotions when it does - if ever - near being empty. But for now... $100+ of my hard earned money is safe.
Au extreme is a gorgeous scent but sadly was reformulated and doesn't perform like it used to 😔

This is an important video. It highlights how costly the fragrance rabbit hole can get once we're really far along. All this talk about reformulations, watered down fragrances that once were fantastic.. these are all things beginners simply don't understand or know of until they're in the thick of it. There is just so much that's not worth rebuying and you risk wasting money in the likely event a fragrance you love has changed. These companies hope to God us ordinary consumers don't notice and just continue pulling out our wallets. Maddening to say the least. Well done, George.

I have to say, George, you’re one of the few reviewers who really knows their sh*t when it comes to both the fragrance industry, and when to spot a good fragrance that’s worthwhile. Pretty much every fragrance you recommended has been spot on, even if I personally wasn’t a fan of the scent profile myself. I have you to thank for my love of Bvlgari Man Wood Neroli, and I can’t wait to try Acqua Di Parma Colonia Intensa. I own Bvlgari Man in Black Essence, and if you haven’t tried it yet, I suggest you do. It’s the Man in Black DNA with cinnamon and cocoa added. It might be up your alley, though Man Black Orient is my favorite of the flankers.

Right about the time I pulled the trigger and bought 150ml of BDC parfum, and looking at my Men In Black bottle that I bought before pandemic but almost never wore it. Now is the time. Thx George to remind me that I have great fragrances in collection.
Really enjoyed this video. Great concept. Like that there was a genuine mix of fragrances. Be great if you could do this again with a fragrance theme. E.g. niche or cheap fragrances
I bought Man in Black recently as well, similar to yourself. However, on Halloween I wore Spicebomb Extreme. I like this, Glasgow was dry, crisp cold on Halloween, it works!
Stronger with you Intensely is part of my collection too. Absolutely stunning. Smells similar to By the Fireplace. I also had Bleu de Chanel Parfum on tonight! You're smashing it with the right stuff. I'm writing this as the video goes.
All Beauty is great, but Notino usually cheaper with more choice of ml

Having dipped my toes into the Mancera waters, Cedrat Boisee, Instant Crush, Red Tobacco and Black Gold are all so good, and strong, that I won't need to buy them again for years, but I will.

I bought Sunset Riot after watching your review as a blind buy and love it. I've got BR540 which I also adore but every spray is expensive so I save that for special occasions. I got Sunset as a gift set for £49 Amazing price and amazing scent. THANK YOU for the heads up.

@@thebusiness1129 I have tried it and it is more girlie. I mean I think BR540 tilts a bit girlie but the Grande even more. The Sunset definitely goes more manly... all the way. One of the best bang for buck fragrances I own that I also bought on reccommendation from George.

Love Man in Black. It was one of my early purchases when I got into fragrances and I would like to keep a bottle as long as they don't change it.

George you really gotta try histoires de parfums 1899 Hemingway if you love Men in Black so much. It would probably be redundant to own both, but Hemingway is definitely the superior fragrance between the two, in my opinion.
Totally agree with Versace Pour Homme and Ombré Leather. Not smelt many of the others. Just going to drop "Halfeti" there. Smelt this last week and once I find a discount code, Santa can use it.
As a sucker for neroli, mirage 23 sounds awesome. I’ll have to give it a try one of these days because you put me onto Bvlgari Wood Neroli and that was a great recommendation
I just got some Wood Neroli after considering it for a fair while (after smelling a sample about 6 months ago). It's a good fragrance and I'll look forward to wearing it in Spring.
Insightful video! I would still have to buy a second bottle of Versace pour homme. I know the performance is not great but it is my most complimented fragrance
Going off your comments regarding uomo salvatore ferragamo, I would love to see a video for fragrances you feel fit certain ages. I feel people getting into fragrances at certain ages would really benefit from it.

Just to mention that butter lovely scents from the orris convince whit the spices but I was happy I was only one of the few who was using it

I prefer the edt version of eau Sauvage, man in black is one I really need to add to my collection. I've not smelt it myself but I've heard so many good things about it. Ombre leather is a beast, love it. Agree with what you said about gentlemen. Openings great but the dry down isnt great. Auqa di gio isn't that great anymore I find it boring. Never smelt sunset riot. Heard it's good so I'll be adding it to my collection soon.

FINALLY George is wearing MIB. I'm 20 and just spamming this scent in this weather and it's sooo good. I think it's not necessarily very mature, because its pretty sweet. Not overly sweet like Uomo, which I also have, but nice. Mature clean sweet scent with a boozy note.

Have you tried MIB black orient...its better but it's been discontinued

You’re not kidding about MIB!I love Aqua Di Parma Colonia Leather over Ombré Leather. Love Givenchy Gentleman! Profumo is ok. Stronger with you Intensely 👍, Chanel Parfum💪. Versace PH ok.
I've got bvlgari man in black and spicebomb extreme and out of the 2 the rum in bvlgari just edges it for me.
My Sunset riot is weak as piss can only smell it when I get my nose on the spot that I spayed it on. Its a nice smell but I can't smell it when I wear it.
Bleu parfum is top class , I’ve got over 30 bottles and I’ve used almost a full 100ml since last march

How long does a fragrance last ? I'm afraid some will go "bad" after 5 years .
@@Nicebitoftucka they do but they don’t. If stored properly, they won’t really spoil ever. People still buy and sell frags that are 10-15 years old online - vintage formulations and the like

I prefer Lalique White to Givenchy Gentleman Cologne. Similar scent, lasts longer and the scent is also stronger on me.

I love Versace Pour Homme, but I agree, we can do better. Ever since I got Acqua di Parma Colonia Intensa, that has filled its role for me.

Agreed so much on Versace Pour Homme. It's nice, it's deceptively strong, but it's so boring to my nose. I've always thought it's the best fragrance to wear to meet your in-laws for the first time. You'll smell nice, clean, and very boring.

Just buy Channel allure homme sport. 100% agree. But if the price is a stretch, Pour homme is a good alternative. I love them both but CAHS is in a whole different league.

I love Bvlgari Man In Black… And I’ve heard others mention this. But, I don’t get good performance at all.
I’m talking 3-4 hours, at best… Not sure, as I’ve heard others say 6-8 hours no issue.
So… Just one of those things. But I do love it
Easy: get V&R Spicebomb Extreme. Imho a better smell and longer lasting. Fragrantica and Parfumo scores also strongly suggest it's clearly the better fragrance

Bvlgari Man In Black is fantastic and for the price at discounters it's a steal.Spicebomb Extreme is a phenomenal fragrance too both can be owned and not be redundant.

I really love it and considering that it is only limited to 500 bottles - do you know a fragrance similar to this one? Would like to see a video on your thoughts re reformulations. Does the community over exaggerate them, or are you of the opinion frags are reformulated all the time and they're ruined and not worth it and you have to buy vintage. Or are you in the middle.

I never smelt the old 2012 bottle of Eau Sauvage Parfum but I still love this newer 2017 bottle. Amazing formal scent makes me feel like James Bond or Great Gatsby
Exactly, people still say it’s a great scent. I think he has a very strange taste tbh. Profumo out ? Versace ph out ? Eau sauvage out ? Lol that’s a very bad list for fragrances to NOT buy again.

George, I have also purchased Cuir from Molinard but I find opening strange, a lot! Animalic and a bit revolving, if you want it it's yours, never used 99.9 full. Open to suggestions for fair exchange, live in Dublin
This list is a great frame because it steps away from the typical dialectic of good and bad and focuses to the actual purpose of fragrance - to elevate one person's daily life.
Just smelled one of the best openings ever on Gisada Ambassador...lasts only 4 minutes and then becomes boring, but the opining alone is worth a test!

Loved ADG back in the day but I’ don’t own any of them now. It’s just a little too basic and played out for me. Lots of other things I would rather wear

Btw, absolutely disagree with versace pour homme. Im getting so many compliments to this day whenever i use it. It’s a timeless classic, it was ahead of its time when it came out, how would this ever get old ? Lol
I don't understand the Acqua di gio profumo either. May not have smelled it for a while. Code profumo I like and Stronger with you Absolutely or whatever smells a lot too though very christmassy / caramell but the acqua di gio is just not that interesting / weaker / not the cozy stuff. Think I prefer Dior Sauvage over that one no idea how similar they are but ..
Nice review man but I personally disagree with Acqua Di Gio Profumo and Versace Pour Homme. Both of these fragrances are still amazing, compliment getters and decent to great performance. But it's ok, everyone has different opinions.

I don't know about the Bleu de Chanel. I seem to be the only one to get 30m-1h performance on any in the line. Also, I think it's the victim of its own success and even though it's THE ONE, today it smells like it's the one OF MANY.

I’ve honestly received more compliments for Versace Pour Homme than anything else, but I probably won’t buy it again. I have other fragrances I enjoy more & I wear fragrances for myself not for others.
SF Uomo is youthful… But I do love the dna.
Signature is the better option.
I just got a vintage pre-reformulation Eau Sauvage Parfum and I got to tell you, except for a slightly darker opening and some more intense vetiver (a la Guerlain's) in the drydown there's not much of a difference.
Maybe you're just worn out on its DNA?
In my opinion in the Bvlgari Man line Black Orient is my favourite unfortunately it's much easier to get crabs then finding a bottle for a decent price these days.

ADG Profumo is one of my favorites, and Versace Pour Homme is one I've actually thought about buying a backup bottle for because it's just so easy to wear.
But I've also tried less than 100 fragrances, so my nose is less "cultured".
But I am gonna have to try some of these others you mentioned.
I did try Glacial Essence and wasn't impressed.
Hes totally wrong about versace pour homme lol. It’s a compliment monster, Girls totally love it and it’s a super classic, it’s not „gotten old“ lol. same goes for Eau sauvage, i hear people say that the new formulation is still a great scent yet he claims it’s not worth buying. I disagree again.
