@The Casual Savage. He might be pushing buttons and loops but its not easy. To me its easier to phrase measures and beat match and mix a perfect set then it is to mix like this. Just because its a different style doesnt mean its wrong or not good. Or doesnt take talent. I learned on vinyl 20 years ago but been mixing digital last two years.

This was great. Going just a bit further in the old skool direction, it would be amazing to see the James Hype touch applied to a set of golden age hardcore tunes (91-93 style - labels like Suburban Base, RAM, Moving Shadow, XL, etc).

He has earphones, earplugs. Which makes sense the way he plays on top of that. Those routines are practiced. He knows precisely to play when and how. Beatmatching is difficult in this pace of drops. But hey, he uses technology to his advantage to maximize the experience.
He does beat match live and he’s wearing in ears which are much better if you’ve tried custom in ear monitors vs headphones. I agreed with you up until I levelled up last year and spoke with an amazing sound team and got my in-ears custom made. Try it
