Great build. If you want to add lights to it, you can buy orange or yellow flickering LEDs. You could use them to make torches in wall sconces or hide a couple behind the arch to suggest flaming torches inside. They can be powered by the 3v button cell batteries or a couple of AA or AAA cells in series. I'd also get some 1ohm resistors to limit the current to the LED and make them last a bit longer. To connect them up, you can use any thin wire and if you don't want to solder, twist the wires together and secure with hot glue. The circuit is [battery]+ -------[resistor]--------[LED]--------[switch]------ -[battery]. The long leg on the LED is connected to the + / positive side of the battery.

Mum chiming in: when you're a mum, it gets WORSE. Then, if you want any type of child-item, it is not only very gendered (yes, even boxes!), but it has gendered words on it. BOO-URNS.
I've seen kids (on TH-cam) themselves ranting about gendered things. It's usually girls, btw, because they sort of want the inspirational "you can do" sort of words on boys' clothing, but apparently girls' clothes only have words like "pretty". There's a company that makes airplane and truck dresses for girls. Because some girls don't want a 'princess-y' dress. OTOH, when Target de-gendered their toy section, one mom mentioned that her kids would 'sneak' into the other section. Apparently it's great fun to 'help' your kids sneak into the opposite section. LOL.
YES on the mum part (the things shops can gender! Boxes, kiddie cameras, cutlery... *cutlery* for goodness' sake!). Also just sending you a little high five since I also say "Boo-urns" :D

Mum chiming in: when you're a mum, it gets WORSE. Then, if you want any type of child-item, it is not only very gendered (yes, even boxes!), but it has gendered words on it. BOO-URNS.
😂😂🙈🙈🙈❤️❤️❤️
My 5 year old niece loves anything mechanical, and outer space. Let me tell you, when she found out about rockets, HER TINY MIND EXPLODED. Now she wants to be an astronaut. Or an elephant keeper because elephants are the best. Apparently.
@@Bananacustardcostuming There's so much there! There are some women astronauts on twitter she could look up.
You could also point out that people design and build those rockets. Not everyone has the physical whatever-it-takes to be an astronaut. There's lots of ways she could get in at NASA.
I'm sewing for 1/6 Blythe dolls and I LOVE miniatures and I love your videos. You are so funny and I love your creativity.
I would love to see more of this kind of projects! It was really fun c:
Did anyone else notice her Wheel of Time books!!! Love!!!
your not setting things down on the ground for him to lay on, that's why he giving you side eye hahaha :) Love the book nook!!! I want to make one now :)
ever since I found your videos they have been such a great form of escapism for me. I can watch you joyfully make an outfit or a craft and forget for a second that the world is a dumpster fire
Y’all I finally bought native deodorant through your link and it’s sooooo good. I’m obsessed with the cucumber mint scent🍄
Edit: I wrote this comment before starting the video and am laughing that they’re the sponsor. I’m just genuinely glad I got it lmao
I tried an off brand of native on accident and broke out in these horrific hives! I’m honestly scared to try them out now....
Sarah Lee I know Schmidt’s and Tom’s can cause rashes for some people. I have had a much better experience with Native, personally. Also, Tom’s in particular just really sucks IMO. I would have to reapply like every half hour and it gave me a horrible rash. Currently I apply about twice a day but could probably get away with once, also no rash! Although skin sensitivity varies, so to each their own. Best wishes 😁
So happy to hear you like the product! It would mean the world to us if you would write a review on Nativecos.com.
omg that blue blouse you’re wearing in your car is STUNNING
I love this so much! Have you ever seen the miniature rooms at the Art Institute of Chicago? They're incredible!
I see Robert Jordan up there and I am so pleased. Rachel, you are a delight.
Is it wrong if I would love to see you make a second one... that's hobbit themed?
Omg yes!!!!!!!
My hubby and I were absolutely adoring that book nook and then eying our bookcase trying to think where we could make and put our own.
