- The longer I am a parent the more I realize how centering and bonding having a meal together is! It doesn't even have to be a formal "sit at the table" type of meal, just having a communal pot of soup available as the kids shuffle in when they are hungry is a very "together" memorable experience. Even if they critique the meal, the communal experience is what brings the family together. We eat a lot of bean based meals when possible because that is a good source of healthy protein that doesn't cost an arm and a leg!

Moses sure liked that Garbanzo Bean Soup. Amber, I don't know why you say you are trying to be a better Mom. From what I see, you are amazing and it definitely shows in your kids. Can't forget Marc either, he is a great Dad. There is nothing wrong with a big pot of soup. That's how my parents were able to feed 9 of us kids. BIG pots of different soups and stews. It fills everyone up and goes a long way.

I’ve seen some TH-cam videos with Elijah playing. He’s so talented. It’s so unfortunate that he didn’t get into Juilliard. I hope he will get in next year. Since he’s not in Juilliard, does he have other opportunities to play live with other musicians other than his siblings? I know you mentioned that Pearl and Josiah have had that opportunity.
