wow it's impressively compact, and also, the interface and the idiotproofing is really nice ! Really good job you did there, I think I'm gonna use it in a survival world
This video is so well put together and understandable, i was making 6 of these in an smp and a creeper blew up right in the center of 2, didnt need to rewatch
Someone linked this to me after I posted my own single chest shop on Reddit. WOW this thing is compact! After having made my own, I can't imagine the work that went into making this as small as it is. By sacrificing space and resources, mine is able to refund the customer if they accidentally make an incomplete payment, and it doesn't need to wait for the etho timer to reset before taking the next payment so I believe it'd be much quicker for larger transactions. Not worth it when you see the footprint though! I'll link this to all the people asking for a tutorial on mine.
Wow, you are so underrated! I watched a few of your tutorials and I am amazed! The video editing is perfect, the narration is great as well. Keep up the great work! :)
Although almost a year old, this creation may not be smallest but it is truly an amazing build. I'm using this creation for an SMP server. Hopefully I can get some income.
For anyone having the issue of the pistons shifting the red stone block over the Payment Amount hopper on the side with the target block, I had this problem and saw some others had this too. My issue was that i was missing a block at the very back layer. Ill try to explain where it is. at the very back layer, there should be a block in the middle at the 3rd to last row, near the bottom. since the block wasnt there, it directed some redstone to not power the piston correctly. the block serves to disconnect 2 pieces of redstone basically. hope this helps anyone with this issue! :3
I watched one of Mumbo Jumbo's old videos recently that refunds the payment you put in if it's not valid - I'm sure you could tweak this to work for smaller payments with a bit of experimentation
Please help as it seems it is not working for me. I have built it 3 times following your tutorial bit by bit. It keeps shifting the red stone block over the hoppers for the input part. I am not sure why it's not working as I have broken down your build and each piece works as it should ish.

Great job to Rexx and T2 on this. it's amazing and so simple but so effective. Don't watch Crafty's build people. It doesn't work and his solution is not worth the trouble of finding it. I wasted way too much time when i should have just watched this video instead.
Love the video! But ive recently started playing in bedrock instead of java, so that i can play with my friends. Is it possible that you make more bedrock contraptions?
@@saileeich9054 any chance you've seen a shop like this on bedrock? This is what I need on my bedrock realm! I've probably been looking for over a year and trying to make my own at the same time, but I've never been able to figure out the timing for the locking mechanism...
This tutorial is amazing! Question: If you want to reduce the number of payment items in an item shop filter (the one that's in the hopper as a stack of, alongside the 4 non-stackable items), is there a way to do so by increasing the number of items in the other slots? Asking because I'm considering using diamonds as a currency and they are too valuable to have a stack of items in each shop.
This is so cool! I wonder if we could make a shop support multiple items, with an entire item-sorter-ish hopper chain (which loops back to the original chest if nothing can be bough with it). I'm no pro at it but I'm definitely gonna give it a shot!
I had a more complicated design, which was HUGE, it had the same function as this Also I had a problem with people tricking the system, so I had diamonds to be sorted, and the rest is like oak planks, people found out and scammed me, so I put warped hyphae blocks overtime they found out, the shovels were smart, now they can’t scam me :D
Great video and a useful build. Think you can come up with one that lets you select style? For instance I'm selling all 16 colors of dyes for 1 diamond a stack. I would like the purchaser to select the color they want then put in the amount of diamonds equal to the number of stacks of that color. I've been trying to figure out a way to do this and haven't gotten it figured out yet.
I just fixed this by moving the threshold barrel and comparator forward one, and moving that repeater sideways 1 so it goes into the hopper. Then reduce the threshold barrel to 5 shovels, replace the filter shovels with 11 64-stackable items (like stone) in each slot. This way, the filter holds 1 input item instead of 63
@@jellyboy9486 Np. Make sure you have a solid block behind the barrel once you move it forward, so that those two redstone pieces don’t connect. Also you have to mess with the filter a bit for different priced items
Hey! This shop is almost perfect! I just have a quick question... is it possible to dispense the items faster? I know ilmango has a way of making fast hoppers or maybe using hopper minecarts but I feel like bulk buying may become a lil tedious like this... (it doesn't matter if the shop becomes slightly bigger by implementing this, I'm just wondering if it's possible)
why do you need 24 non stackable items in the "threshold" crate when the comparator is just going straight into a repeater? wouldnt the signal strength be the same regardless if theres one item or a full chest? any help would be much appreicated!
@@RexxStone I have a rough idea about automating the non-stackable groups using crafter modules. Might be kinda tight to fit the lockout signal from the crafters to the payment processor, though.
i made a 2-wide version of this that does up to 320:320 back in 1.8. I just came back to Minecraft and was curious about what the new updates would bring. This is an interesting alternative! I’d be curious if my 2-wide can be compressed even further, though!
