Hi I love your channel. I'm new on Substack. So i was wondering about you chart here..why do uou drive traffic to the blog first and then the news letter? Wouldn't it be better to go directly to the newsletter??

If someone uses the same platform for both their blog and newsletter (ex: Substack or Beehiiv) then it'd make sense to drive traffic directly to that platform. It's a different business model than the one I've outlined in this video. Yes, the ultimate goal is still newsletter growth for those of us who have separate platforms for the blog and the newsletter, but we still need traffic to the blog because 1) we use the blog (content) to prove expertise and authority, which drives subscription 2) use lead magnet in the blog to incentivize subscription 3) affiliate marketing income, and 4) income from sponsorships.
Ultimately, factors such as income goal and niche will determine which platform and business model is right for you. I do not recommend focusing solely on a borrowed platform (like Substack) if your goal is to create a six-figure+ business.
