Just joined your Patreon to learn the lay of the land in VCV, and looping back now to catch up on some of your past videos/patches. Really enjoyed following along with this one so much. Every bit as good this morning as it was two years ago! Thanks!
I'm a very learn by doing person, and having this patch to start playing with has been HUGE in getting me from "never used a synth" to "playing with vcv with some idea what does what" versus all the other starter vids that blast too many details that you can't play with without knowing what is up. Love the step by step building!
Great, relaxing sound, nice and very inspiring patch! Thanks for introducing the Hallucigenia module. Modulating the LFO was an eye-opener too, or should I say ear-opener.
Cool patch... Bought VCV pro a while back to be able to use it as a plugin within my DAW.. Watching your vids always gives me lots of new ideas how to go about doing things..
Bon....Great "patch from scratch"; learned a lot. Hullucigenia and Vector Mixer are very usable for my VCV set up. Thanks. Connect x and or y out of Vector Mixer with the - in - (speed of light) of the Energy (ring mod.) is amazing weird.
Yeah, there's so many modules in VCV.. you tend to not find some very cool ones in the heap there... That's why I enjoy watching these vids too... It always gives me new ideas, or new modules to consider...
Hi Omri, that why I bought VCV, to build generative random soundscapes, to let them just flow and enjoy the situation to chase randomness with not randomness. Computermusik. Thanks for your videos and especially this one.
The sound is very relaxing. Especially when the bass comes in now and then between the high frequencies. The idea with the vector mixer for panning is cool. I've seen this in other patches of yours. It's something different than an LFO or just random panning. I wonder if this module supports polyphonic panning. It seems like it can input and output polyphonic signals. I'll have to have a closer look tomorrow :)
I followed you and recreated this patch, it is much helpful for me to learn a modular workflow. Thanks. When setting up the second voice with Energy, mine plays mostly one single note though. If anyone would guess why this probably happens, let me know. Cheers :)
I just happened to try this module yesterday (before finding your video today). I used slow clock divisions out of "Clocked" to trigger mutate & random periodically. Seemed to work ok. Will try with slope detector to see if it makes a difference. Is there a better module for sending triggers periodically?
Well, there's no one right way I guess. Try using S&H, for example. Whenever it goes above a certain point, it will trigger the destination. If you use a slow clock to trigger the S&H, you will get even less triggers.
@@OmriCohen-Music Saving & "load" triggering a sequence is working well. This time I set clock divisions so it mutates say, every 4 cycles, and reloads every 16 cycles. I like it - it's an elusive mix between evolving randomness & structure / repetition.
Thanks for sharing your experience. Despite I run VCV 2, modules like LFO-2 are not built in but only the "first version" of them. Or, for example , the built in VCA module has not the "lin - exp" switch. Perhaps they came from the pro version?

Glad you enjoyed it!
You forgot to say "oh yeah" after adding reverb at 4:33 😁
I was pleased to see how the save and load buttons are used. Very cool.
Cheers!
I always appreciate your approach as well as your time doing these videos, thanks Omri!
Thanks so much!
What a wonderful patch!
Thanks!
Kicking off November with another great VID, thx Omri!
Cheers!

Yeah, super fun modules! Cheers!
Great work!
Thanks!
Very very cooool ! I really liked your approach and fresh ideas for generative music. Thank you.
Glad you liked it!
Generative Patches are so cool.
Cheers!
Very inspiring as always.
Thank you! Cheers!
Oh, I wasn't aware of this module. Looks neat!
Have fun :)

very nice! i didn't know hallucigenia, thanks for showing it! lovely patch:)
Cheers!
Hey Omri, i like the idea to only lower the hi notes by an octave with the use of a comperator. Nice Patch. Have a nice one. Cheers!
Hey, thanks so much!
Hi. Nice module . I used it already , but in a simple way ! Thanks for your tricks 😊
Cheers!
I just started messing around with this module a few days ago.... you are a mind reader! Thanks for the vid.
Glad I could help!
Nice patch. I've just realised we're now in Nov, that mean VCV 2 must be imminent. :)
Can't wait!
A work of art!
Cheers!
Hallucigenia Note to LFO FM?!? Never thought of that. Interesting!
Have fun!
Yup, this is why I keep coming back here every time too.. just for inspiration how to patch stuff in a creative way.
Verry Cool!!Thanks
Glad you like it!

Yeah, I really like this Vector mixer. I have the hardware Planar2, which is quite similar. use it all the time.
thank you

Cheers! Feel free to send me the patch and I will have a look :) You can send it here - omri.musicohen(at)gmail.com

Омри, это гениально!!!

Well, there are a few changes, yes, but things will work more or less the same. The LFO 2 is now the WT LFO, for example.
Hi Omri, thanks for a great patch, I put my own patch together but couldn't record sound into a single file, any advice?
Thanks :) How did you record it?
Omri.can you do a video tutorial based on Richard devine type of stuff please...like track oustrue or revsic on sort lave album.it will be fantastic.
I would love to make once something like this :)
Does anyone know if this has any similarities with Mimetic Digitalis?
Just watched a demo for the MD. I didn't see really any similarity at all...
I think that Marbles is a bit more similar with the mutation and randomization.
Omri you gotta add links to download in the info! xd
Totally forgot, thanks!
Proper
niceeeeee)
Thanks 😁
How can we download Chrono blob plz ?
Look for Alright Devices in the library :)
