Wow. I got older. Did some things. Went some places. Had some kids. And shame on me, forgot FLA. This is awesome. Still around a kicking ass. This just sparked a whole bank of memories from decades ago listening to them.
I was just thinking that it's impressive that FLA has never put out a bad release. Some may not be as good as others, but never mediocre. Not many bands can say that.
Now this is a cool track first time hearing it and I love it. I saw these guys in concert in 1990 at the Opera House in Toronto, and the opening act was Contagion. They were both amazing to see, especially FLA.
So glad Bill and Co are still doing what they’re obviously supposed to be doing! Been listening since the early/mid 90s, and I felt kinda late to the party back THEN.... not a lot of artists last that long. Salud and Namaste....
Artificial soldier did it for me to take it seriously but when i heard the full album of the EPs by Cyberactif, I was spoiled in a way that no FLA or side project ever was able stop obbsesing over Cyberactif doing another album again until Air Mech... I think they have Guinness world book of records for side projects, if not they really should.
Amazing! What really affects me is I've told people it feels like an electric shock when I hear sudden loud sounds, or something unexpected happens. Now I can show them this and say, this is how it makes me feel.

I'd argue some of the pre-Digital Tension Dementia stuff is pretty unlistenable. I remember discovering FLA in '92 with Tactical Neural Implant (along with Delerium - Euphoric), thinking this was the music I had always been searching for. Then I worked my way back to The Initial Command and thought WTF is this crap. So...Everybody has an opinion, but personally I can't say they've never released a bad song...
"The Blade", TNI-version spoiled my TNI experience like a smelly stain. My worst FLA song ever. Good that the single version reconciled for that. Shortly after came Noise Unit's Strategy of Vioence and I was back in love again.
yeah, but these projects can take a while. when we did the video for Killing Grounds, we spent probably 6 months filming and editing everything. in the time between shooting the live band footage and us getting it done and online, the band surprised everyone by announcing Airmech. we might have worked on it a bit more, but had to get it online as fast as we could. as it was i think we got it up a week or two before the next one dropped.
really best to get music in advance to be able to have a video ready when the new music comes out, but it's not like their label is footing the bill anymore! :-)
@@fadedSF Good to know, thanks for responding. I thought it was fitting to release it now due to the whole pandemic and people working maybe more from home than at office. Plus, as you mentioned with Killing Grounds and Airmech, Unknown from Mechanical Soul was released a few days ago.

I love the video but I'm a little sad at the way they abridged the ending chorus. The second half of it is necessary for the song to feel complete and they totally removed it in this arrangement. Still pretty hype though.
