It’s a Wiha flip bit selector I think. The part I use as a driver is actually a bit extension with some grip tape around it. Works great and keeps the set together and compact

Interesting that you felt the need to do this. My Pilar came with a *lot* of tension on the detents, to the point where I can't finger-flick the blade like you do unless the pivot is so loose that it introduced blade play.

gray intheuk, thanks again for nice comment! The steel is 8cr13mov. It’s definitely a budget steel. The Cedric and Ada TH-cam channel is a great source of information about steel. This steel general has relatively poor edge retention but I think it’s an okay choice given the quality of the knife and the price. I haven’t put too much wear on this knife specially so far because I’ve been carrying a very exciting new knife. There’ll be some videos of it up soon Once I do a full review of this knife I’ll be able to give better answers about the edge retention. Sorry I can’t be more helpful
Sorry to add to an already long comment. But it’s also worth saying that the edge is pretty thick. Which won’t help it’s slicing ability especially once the edge starts to dull

Yes there’s already been some beauty’s! I don’t know if I want to spend anything extra on this one. After the review is done I’ll probably carry my XM Slippy more 🤔
@@echoededge6669 it is probably my second favourite U.K. friendly knife(after my hinderer slippy vintage) and I have a lot to choose from😂 I took the pocket clip off mine to carry it in a mkm magnetic slip as I didn’t want to knock the carbon fibre about with all the crap I drop in my pockets😭
We obviously have quite similar tastes. I’m favourite legal Carry is an XM slippy that I got marbled carbon scales for. I’m glad you like your vintage slippy. I know 2 people that got them and had to return them so I’m glad you got a good one

That is interesting and less than ideal. Perhaps they are a bit inconsistent from the factory

Cracking vid, I don't mind the weak detent on mine as the finger choil keeps me safe, might take my zt 0235 apart though and try something similar 👍👍
