I share your frustration with this newer response to unwanted behavior. I work with staff who serve children with developmental delays, and I advise them that it is necessary and respectful to be direct, rather than leave a child to figure out the unspoken message. "Thank you." may seem like a less harsh form of re-direction, but it does not inform the child of the expectations or real requests being made. It is much more helpful to the child, and necessary, to tell them calmly and directly what the staff or what peers are trying to communicate.
How about making kids sit out of circle time or group time because of some kind of behavior, but the child can still see the book or whatever ur doing and “can still feel like they’re part of the group”?? Should we be making them sit by themselves??
Also important to speak to teachers respectfully and not use "stupid" to describe their behavior and guide them to better teaching practices respectfully. Without mockery.
I’m learning so much from your channel. Thank you for sharing what you know with us 💕
Thank you! ❤

Yes, it s not the teachers that are stupid it’s the words that are meaningless because they don’t convey the message
It’s not mockery! It’s brutal honesty!
Here’s one: teachers say ilove theway so and so is doing such and such.

And how about making kids walk down the halls with a bubble or marshmellow in their mouths, when in reality, adults talk in the halls all the time?
