It would probably be great at emulating retro consoles up to the Dreamcast. If they want to aim it at a gamer market, put some retro gaming stickers on it, load it up with retro arch and sell it that way.

Batocera would be better than Retroarch. Retroarch is tedious and irritating to navigate, especially for people who dislike constantly fiddling with settings.
Batocera is more visually appealling, and it is far easier to use/more "dumbed down for the Average Joe".

It's not gaming ready, lol. But it's good for me, a senior who doesn't game on PC but instead on a gaming console. This pc is good for what I need it for, surfing, watching movies and TH-cam, office work, very light photo touch ups..etc.

The USB-C connector also actually makes a ton of sense, since the speed of a USB-C connected drive is basically that of a SATA SSD anyways. Makes installing once easy without having to get a dedicated SATA data cable and a spare SATA power cable.

Things that would increase performance on PC like this are: 1. debloating Win 10/11 (CPU is the bottleneck, and you do not want Windows service in background stealing CPU time) and 2. setting power plan to performance, turning game mode on in windows, possibly even tweaking BIOS for more power. Having said that, this thing is best suited for games up to year 2010 with mid-low settings. AMD APU are usually better for lite gaming.

There were some awesome titles in that time and you can play them by spending only 200$ instead of having to pay 2000 US for a computer ta would be able to run contemporary titles in acceptble framerate.
