"That seems really dark."
You're misunderstanding me, bro.
So they ARE in danger?!?
Views to like ratio is crazy. 😂
Did you pin your own comment
Dudes be datk like that
Everyone loves this scene. I mean, they would never dislike it. Because of the implication
Uh, ok. What implication?
Well done sir...well done
Are you gonna hurt these commenters or....?
But it sounds like these commentors don't want to like this scene..
No he's not going to hurt the hurt the commentators. He won't have to because of the implication.
Mac genuinely asking his best friend "Are you gunna hurt women"?
I thought Charlie was his best friend
@@greenrandall143I think both are
WELL he loves Dennis, he's vest friends woth charlie@@laurenmeltzer7159
and then he says “Oh okay” immediately after being corrected as though his friend is acting otherwise “super” trustworthy
@Blockistium And 10 seconds later he asks, "So they ARE in danger?!"
Dennis clenching his jaw after saying “because of the implication” will never fail to make me laugh. Bro might actually a serial killer 😂
he is most definitely a serial killer
@@MALKIAHWhe’s got the skin furniture to prove it
@@sketchycat6223no he doesn’t, think of the smell, YOU HAVEN’T THOUGHT OF THE SMELL!!!!
I've never noticed that 😂
He's implies around season 7 or 8 that he hasn't hit serial killer numbers; he has his tools, his TOOLS; he's diet Ted Bundy.
One of the greatest scenes in tv history. The way Glenn instantly slides into that dead behind the eyes look is some amazing acting. We love our favorite sociopath.
His Juilliard training has really paid off!
@@prathapkutty7407 Glenn “Juilliard” Howerton.
His eyes are completely dead but he also tenses his jaw perfectly to show us that his evil brain is very excited for the implication.
God!!he would have been an amazing homelander. What a missed opportunity😢😢😢
@@ranigautam2523 isn't he too small for homelander? I rather he played reed richards.
- Well don't you look at me like that, you certainly wouldn't be in any danger.
- So they are in danger! 😂😂😂
The implication of danger.
NO, it's an implication of danger🙄
Oh good, you watched it too.
@@templetonbob Hey, Bob. Need a hug?
@Gorvinhagen he needs an implication. Idk how to do this properly.
“You’re misunderstanding me bro.”
I’m, I think I am…
Yeah, you are.
Because if the girl said no then the answer obviously is no, but the thing is she’s not gonna say no, she would never say no, because of the implication
@_@
Now… you’ve said that word “implication” a couple of times, wh… what implication?
The way he clenches his jaw after the second "implication" always gets me
Great observation and subtly
The thing that's really special about this show is the rhythm of the conversations, the way they talk over each other, react to each other mid sentence, the silences, speeding up and slowing down. It's a symphony.
It's like
A CONVERSATION IN REAL LIFE!
My favorite part is how Mac looks away after the second implication. Totally portrays the sinking gut feeling.
Masterclass in acting. The jaw clench and serial killer eyes when he says "implication" again lmao
Rob McElhenny does a great job making this scene become more than the sum of its parts.
He really convincingly sells the public context of the conversation, making Dennis seem that much more villainous. And Dennis is so comfortable with his villainous motives that the public setting doesn’t remotely factor into how he tries to explain them.
And he’s SO comfortable with his motives that not only is he willing to discuss ‘the implication’ while he knows an old lady and complete stranger is listening a couple feet away, but he’s even willing to address her and provide HER with an explanation, too. 😂
@@Colinkrauss1 🤓
@@emrickdelorme400why are you booing him he’s right
The straight man* is relatively easy job compared to the role Glenn is playing. But when the straight man is done well like Rob is doing here it makes the difference between good comedy and GREAT comedy.
*which I obviously only mean in a comedic, Dean Martin sense when I’m talking about Mac.
Because of the implication
Dennis' serial killer stare when he says "implication" adds an extra layer of creepiness.
It's the clenched jaw that really gets me lmao
The thing about the iasip gang is that they are all crazy but on different spectrums so they are also crazy to each other
Lol they really do all have their own special kinda crazy going on
Underrated comment
Yeah, depending on the context, any one of the main characters can come across as the reasonable one while the others are being crazy. But then in the very next scene it can be flipped the other way
I agree that’s what makes them so interesting when they interact with one another, they’re all clearly insane but the different types of insane bounce off of each other well comedically
Everybody has a different flavor of crazy
Glenn Howerton and the writing/script are so fantastic here that usually everyone overlooks how good Rob/Mac did in this scene.
Love everything about this scene but what truly gets me is that Mac is trying *so* hard to understand.
@@jessicavanahill3614Of course he is. He’d never want to admit to not understanding.
Because of the implication.
rob's reactions make scenes more often than not 😂 guys got such good physical comedy
@@eighteen-naked-cowboys Rob is a cornerstone piece of the show. He's not as impactful in his own scenes but it adds an angle to them. Like, this one. He was us, the viewers.
I could swear that Rob is on the verge of breaking several times in this scene, and he touches/covers his face as a coping mechanism.
This scene is iconic because of Glenn's delivery, but Rob's little delicate reactions are what make this SO funny to me. The turn of the head with his finger. The look behind his eyes as hes straining trying not to disagree.
I know he's so sheepish because he's afraid to outright reject what Dennis is saying. When he winces and brings his hand to his neck at 1:26 it cracks me up.
Glenns eyes, every time he says 'implication', send fear running through my immortal soul. What a great actor!
I mean, you wouldn't not complement Glenn's acting. Because of the implication.
Mac's uncomfortable body language throughout the scene really helps make it that much more hilarious.
Also Dennis's glassy eyed creep stare at 1:07 is classic.
Glenn gives some of the best acting in the whole series here
Dennis’ point blank stare after saying implication each time is hilarious
I named my ship in Sea of Thieves "The Implication" 😅
Lmao!! That's terrible😂
You're not gonna hurt merchants are you?
@@HewkllNo, how can he make it any more clear to you?
@@Hewkll Of course he isn’t going to hurt the merchants. It’s just when you see a ship headed in your direction after a haul you automatically turn away because of the implication.
I love how at first, Mac was with Dennis when he was talking about seducing ladies on their boat, and only stopped to question it once he heard about… the implication.
I’m a big fan of this show and so I showed my friend this clip. She doesn’t really watch it, but she knows about it and she knows how much I like it. I know she didn’t really get it, but she laughed anyway
Because of the implication.
Stop😂😂
Well played. 😂
Was she in any danger?
You had me up until that last word
S tier comment lol
1:26 The way Mac backed up looking scared, moved his hand behind his back quickly was acting gold from Mac aks Rob . Lol 😂
"because of the implications" --- clenches the jaw and a deadly stare

Jerry Seinfeld says his show couldn’t be made today.
Meanwhile here’s It’s Always Sunny which still airs and is beloved to this day:
Always sunny is said to be the Seinfeld of today.
Jerry Seinfelds IMPLICATION was "It couldn't be made today to the same broad mass appeal and commercial success. See Sunny.
This show also started in 2006. Have you seen the comedies they're starting now? Jerry Seinfeld is spot on.
“So they are in danger?”
Perfect..
That's why you should always propose on a cliff without a railing.
Yknow, cuz of the *implication*
mac can be precious sometimes
I’m not getting it
seriously, one of the greatest scenes of any show, ever. it captures the spirit of the show, and at the same time its just completely new, original, and just two stellar performances by glenn and rob. kudos
As a woman who was a victim of a real life "implication" it works and it IS dark. I'm so glad they were able to help me laugh about it a little.
Sorry to hear that.
😳
But if you had said No of course the answer would have been no.
@@Hater20Xright but she couldn't because of the implication
sorry to hear that
So it does work....interesting
The darkness of Dennis.
“Are you gunna hurt these women?”😂
The follow up scene on the dock is good too where Dennis is still trying to convince Mac he's not a murder, and feels terrible.
1:26 the golden god partially untethers
'1:25 'Why are you not understanding this?'' is the best quote ever, cause no matter how F uped this sound, he explaind it perfectly and now he does not genualy understand how is he not understanding it xD
Glenn Howerton school of line delivery
The fact that they referenced they wanted “a P.Diddy style yacht” situation several times at the beginning of the ep and then gave us this brilliant Implication scene… you can’t tell me the industry hadn’t heard what the Diddler was up to YEARS ago
A scene like this has to be done just right or its not gonna sound the same…these dudes did it perfectly. Both equally important…how Dennis Delivers it and Mac’s reaction to it…its super dark but done in a way thats funny
"Well dont look at me like that. You certainly wouldnt be in any danger."
I think the most important part of that bit is when mac says ‘so they ARE in danger?’ otherwise it would simply be another put down
I love this scene because it's Dennis spending 2 minutes trying to justify creating a dangerous environment for women as long as he doesn't do anything dangerous himself.
Dennis tries to masquerade his inner psychopath as simple narcissism, but frustration and insult is his trigger to let his rage be known.
Nah, the scariest thing about Dennis is he doesn't know he's a psycho
one of the best written comedy bits ever
“You’ve said that word… a couple of times… what do you mean by, implication…” “are you gonna hurt these women??”

The greatest sitcom ever to grace television! Period.
The way Mac shrinks away as Dennis intensely asks him “Why don’t you understand?” always gets me.
I love how irritated Dennis is that Mac doesn't get it.
Mac actually does get it because what he’s saying is dark and psychopathic. He’s irritated that Mac isn’t on board with his plan. Because of the implication.
Its kind of an interesting look into the perception of dennis' reasoning that the suggestion of harm isnt harm itself. Scary to think real people think like this too.
You're misunderstanding him, bro

Because it is not. I mean it is obvious
Zac Efron was the WRONG person cast to play Bundy
Truly one of the greatest scenes ever filmed.
Yu Narukami listening to Tohru Adachi
I found this through a P4 edit lol
I was looking for this comment 😂
1:10 where he pushes his chin just so smoothly makes it feel likes he’s genuinely nervous, confused, and worried about his buddy 😂
I don't know why this made me laugh.. I was just like.. woah he really said all that out loud.
You had to laugh.
Because of the implication.
I had buddies like this, they talk to you like you’re stupid… not understanding that what they’re saying is really wrong or immoral.
True sociopath psychology
I legit had a fuckin friend like Dennis once. Never again lmao
what a classic scene! I track this down every few months to get a laugh
What really makes this show so great is how well the actors sell their characters being absolutely deranged, Glenn looks like an actual serial killer here
The way Mac cowers in fear at 1:25 lol
The way the animation abruptly leaves his face when he says implication is terrifying alone. That's what makes this hilarious.
This scene made me laugh so gd hard the first time I saw it and continues to make me laugh to this day, just an amazing scene. ❤
Never gets old
Such a well written scene.
All of the Gang are Terrible People, but this Scene cements it: Mac is the least Terrible One.
Mac sells this just as hard as the golden god
I love this scene
The fact that I saw a Persona 4 edit with Adachi and this audio and immediately knowing it was this show was too funny, then lo and behold, the original is funnier. Y’know because of the implication.
The acting is superb.
This show consistently chooses the _perfect_ time to jump in with the music. Like 80% of it is straight ambient noise where you genuinely don't know what anything means right away; and then the music starts the exact second the characters decide to just nope out of whatever it was
One of the most unhinged moments on this show, and that's saying a lot.
And Jerry Seinfeld says he can't make edgy joke nowadays lmao
that episode is over a decade old tho
@krab6179 but it stood the test of time. No one watching this today is "offended"
@@krab6179actually almost 20 years
I’m torn between Dee’s Bird dance and Elaine’s little kicks. Both are just so intoxicating!
Azula: "Do the tides command this ship?...Maybe worry less about the tides who have already made up their mind to kill you and more about me, who's still mulling it over."

Mac: I'm not getting it, at all.
I need someone to edit in vinebooms every time Dennis says implication

Everything I know about dating I learned from Dennis.
Thanks FX!
“Why aren’t you understanding this?!”
Would love to see these guys reading thru this scene the 1st time. Mustve been classic
Dennis Reynolds: It's the implication.
Probably one of the best scenes in TV history. Every line is delivered perfectly.
iconic scene 😂
I have a rowboat that I named "The Implication."
“Because of the implication”
One of my favorite. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Man watching this episode today hits a lot different with all the p diddy references, especially this clip.
Mac is almost as uncomfortable with the explanation as a girl would be in the actual situation.
That's how dark Dennis's scheme is. It's making his equally degenerate partner in crime squirm.
HIS FACE AND EYES HE SAYS IT OOOOOOOOOOOO MY GOD LOL
My wife and I laugh every time we see this 😂
Women will always choose the bear... because of the implication.
I'm glad that Dennis said that "if she says no, the answer is clearly no" that really proves that he's a good guy and he's not a rapist
So they ARE in danger? 😂😂😂
Even as a joke/scene/sketch or whatever you wanna call it, on the whole, it truly did “have me going there for the first part. Second part kinda threw me.”
It’s like this Dennis has a system or something 👌🏽
Dee gets it
Got this scene on speed dial when i find myself talking to one of *those* guys
Utilizing implications has upped my dating game.
animator Trevor Carlee did an excellent LEGO version of this scene
