The Scubapro Seahawk 2.0 BCD is a wing style BCD with side pockets so you get the best of both worlds; The trim and feel of a wing with the storage of a jacket style BCD.
    WHO'S THE SEAHAWK FOR?
The Scubapro Sea Hawk is made for the diver who prefers a wing style BC but still wants storage pockets. The materials are mid-range for toughness so it can resist a certain amount of abrasion without being too heavy. You could dive the SeaHawk both at home and abroad because it can pack down quite small and has padding to keep you comfortable if you're only wearing a rash vest.

I’m so surprised there isn’t more reviews/information on this BCD. It seems like an awesome option for general use/travel.

This is a superb BCD, very price worthy. I've done 50+ dives with it now and it's extremely comfy. Its wing design gives me great trim . Back trim pockets and roomy side pockets for extra mask, dsmb and reel. Plenty of D-rings too. Will stick with this one for a long time...

I have the Night Hawk and I absolutely love it. The Sea Hawk looks like its improving on it. May be purchasing this and transitioning my current one to a backup.

I also have a night hawk and I think it’s discontinued now, my Galileo Sol is also discontinued, as well as my Sea wing gorilla in black... Scubapro stop discontinuing the products I use!

So is this considered a hybrid? I am doing my OWD and looking for a good beginner jacket. Pure wing I heard will be too much to handle in the beginning

I'm a bigger guy that bought an X deep zen as my first Bcd. It doesn't fit well when wearing thermals and a dry suit. I wish I would have bought a seahawk 500.

One question.. I see several of the newer BCD's from various manufacturers going with that flexible back-plate, but I hadn't had a chance to try it. How does it behave on surface and in the water? For deeper/longer divers I use a 15 liter steel tank which is heavier then i.e. a 12 liter aluminum ones.. does the back-plate deform due to weight when you wear it while you're on the boat or land with your tank strapped on? You seemed to be able to squash it with your hand easily.. so just wondering how well it can take the weight of the tank (instead of your spine bearing the brunt of it)? Thanks for help if you can give an answer.

@@alle_namen_schon_vergeben708 hi mate, did you find out if it is good or bad for your back? Overall evaluation?

    • @pacoRios

@@Mike.4639 Not OP, but I bought one earlier in the year, and I've used it for about 6 dives with an HP100 tank. The BCD back-plate is fairly rigid, I do not notice any wobbling or deformation. For comparison, prior to this I used an Aqua-Lunch Pro HD which is a wrap-around jacket. What I like about the SP SH2: it feels more stable; it doesn't compress my abdomen when inflated; there is no cummerbund to fiddle around with; the pivoting harness straps are great; the quick releases on the straps are great for quickly removing the tank and BCD after a dive; the bottom cinch tank straps is a plus. Gripes: I think the inflator LP hose is 5" too long. The storage pockets are okay, but difficult to reach and limited in space when the weight pockets are loaded in place. Sizing is on the large end of the spectrum. I am 32" at the waist and had to go with the SMALL BCD. Over a 7mm Farmer John and Jacket, there are about 6 inches of left-over strap past the buckle. Hope that helps.
