Hi. The right velcro shoulder strap is for the BCD inflator hoose, if you want to change from left to right inflator hoose you will use this velcro strap to secure it just like you use it in the left. Saludos desde Argentina (bad english)
I have seen that extra strap over the right shoulder used for things such as having your 2nd stage hose roughed through it, as well as dry suit inflation. some public service divers use it to hold there extra mask for when using full face masks. one of the local DM,s here stores a SMB in it so its easy to get to with gloves on, but Scubapro is the only brand that is locally available here so ideas get shared and time spent in the pool swapping accessories, finding what works. good review, hope this gives you some ideas on what to do with it.
You say 2000 + dives with this BCD!! How many times did I hear "I don't really like it". Why so many dives with so many "I don't like it(s)?" I have been diving with this BCD for years- 3000+ and absolutely have zero complaints. Nothing else out there that compares no matter how many times they try and re-invent the wheel.
just putting it out there, scuba pro do parts for life. when you get their equipment serviced you only pay for labour, o-rings diaphrams, faulty or broken components get replaced free. thats what swayed me to the knighthawk
That's a heavy bc and weight matters if you shore dive, getting on a boat on a ladder and back packing to a site. These scubapro bc are bullett proof for sure i can't wear out a scubapro classic in a lifetime.
very fair review!! I have been using this BCD for 3 years now and can bet my life on its reliability. I use the velcro on the right shoulder strap to hold my dive torch which gets clipped on the d-ring below. And some people suggest that i route the miflex cable on which the second stage sits through it. That way its always easy to find it. also prevents the second stage from getting bumped around when gear is being transported from shore to the boat. Havent had a problem with zipper, but if it fails i would use a quick replacement zipper runned from FixnZip www.fixnzip.com/shop/ Fully agree with the Air2 being a bit of a pain in the rear when one has to use it. It tend to pull away from the mouth. I am thinking of replacing it with a Miflex hose when the exisiting hose (if it ever) gives up on me. Havng said that, I woudl never take an Air2 with me when entering into an overhead environmnet.
Hi, I am 5' 8'' and 160 lbs. I am concerned that my medium will be a little constricting once I put a wet suit on. What is your size? A little advise would be appreciated. Thanks
I was considering buying one of this but now I am considering the Oceanic Excursion! Thanks!!!

Russell Stone you bought something different than I have then... The knighthawk I bought today only has a 2 year warranty.

Right zipper gone and right shoulder strap annoys as well as the right puller, you are indeed a right hander :-)
